Services
Our preschool has proudly served the Oxnard community by providing quality childcare since 1974. We are a ministry of Grace Bible Church that has developed an academic and faith based preschool program for children ages 2 years, 9 months thru 5 years old. We are founded upon the belief that the preschool years are critical in your child's spiritual, physical, intellectual, and emotional growth.
We have formulated a balanced Christian educational preschool program that provides a strong academic foundation. Children are provided with.group and individual experiences, structured and unstructured activities, small and large muscle development all in a warm and supportive atmosphere.
We strive to make sure that all children in our program are engaged and immersed in a variety of multi-sensory activities that help facilitate their learning ability and skills.Our classes use a thematic approach to develop and encourage a child's curiosity and knowledge. Teachers provide prepared lessons that are geared towards kindergarten readiness skills.

My daughter has been going to this school for almost two years and I can't give enough praises to the staff. My daughter is a spirited child to say the least the the teachers have the experience and patience's to deal with her.
The curriculum is wonderful. Christian based which gives my child a Bible verse and moral to ponder. I know when she hits kindergarten in the fall she will be ready.
With CoVID, the school has taken all the precautions to make sure the kids stay safe and healthy while allowing them to be kids. Mask and temperature checks are required. They teach and practice

Love..love..love this place. Teachers are extremely caring and understanding. My son attended the 3/4 program for pre-k. He started off not knowing how to write or draw. By the end of the year he is able to write out his name and enjoys drawing. He can count over 100 and knows how to sound out words. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a not over crowded teaching program.

My son was at OFB 2013 and 2014, and I can honestly say this was one of the greatest things we could've ever done for him. Thanks to Ms. Ana and Ms. Laurita, my son (who is now in second grade) is the top reader in his class, reading at a level of 4.2. The staff at OFB was always loving, kind, attentive, passionate, hardworking, honest, and understanding. They cared about their students as if they were family. My son and I recently bumped into Ms. Laurita and she remembered us. I was so shocked and said "Ms. Laurita, I can't believe you remembered his name, it's been so long

Oxnard First Baptist is a Is a fantastic school. When I was struggling looking for a preschool my friends who are teachers, recommended OFB because that is the school their sons were attending. I have other friends who are teachers and they told me the only school they recommend if OFB. I felt so lucky to find OFB. The teachers are so loving and truly care about each child. The school is small that even the parents know each other. My oldest son graduated from their program and now my youngest son attends. Their curriculum is one of the best.
