People think I'm crazy driving all the way from San Jose to San Ramon to go see my dentist for all my dental needs. If you found the right dental office you would too. Courtyard has delivered! My experience has been phenomenal, from the front staff, to the assistants and to doctors! They thoroughly explain everything so that you come out smiling . I highly recommend this office near or far. You won't be disappointed.

I went to this dentist in august 2020, fully insured by my employer, for a simple cleaning. A YEAR LATER they reach out to me saying I owe $250 for it. After so much back and forth on the phone, they realized THEY billed the wrong insurance company. Well in that year my employer changed insurers as they do. As you can imagine the headache that came with that. Courtyard dental did not want to admit they made a mistake, and put the blame on me. It took them a whole year to realize their mistake and are still making me pay for THEIR MISTAKE. If they caught their mistake a month or even 4 months after

I returned to this practice 2 years after leaving it, because I wasn't happy with the new dentist I'd found. I had high hopes. I had a series of 18 xrays taken, along with full mouth photos. I found it unusual, and asked a handful of times why they were doing so many xrays as they'd never done that before. It wasn't because I was a new patient, they said they do them every 5 years. I decided must be the new doctors like doing them.
Fast forward to the insurance bill to find out insurance didn't fully cover all those images and xrays and I told the dentist

Hygienist Mona took my blood pressure at the beginning of my first cleaning with her. She rushed out the doctor and I overheard "stroke zone", a term I had never heard before, but figured out. We waited calmly for a bit and it came down enough for her to do her thing. The next day I went to my new doctor, had blood work and an EKG done and soon, I was on hypertension meds. My BP is now under control. Mona quite literally saved my life. Naturally, I've been going back to her ever since.

I just wanted to let people know how wonderful the staff at courtyard are. First of all if your afraid of the dentist ? you don't have to be anymore.
The Hygienists are so gentle and considerate of your comfort. Second, The work the dentist does is top notch and is also painless. They all use the latest in dental technology making it all a breeze. Even the receptionist is such a sweetheart! I have been going to courtyard for years and will continue to do so for many years to come.
Highly recommended.

DO NOT GO TO THIS PRACTICE!!! If I could opt for NO STARS, I would. I was a patient of Dr. Hickmott in the past. Due to life circumstances and a touch of dental anxiety, I had not been to the dentist in two years. I made an appointment with the receptionist at Courtyard Dental, who I will say was very kind, friendly and professional. She scheduled me for a cleaning and exam by the dentist. I was initially seen by the hygenist who did my xrays and a preliminary exam. I recently moved to San Ramon from San Francisco and had to switch dentists. I was worried at first because I loved my dentist in SF. However, after meeting with Dr. Wong I knew I would be in good hands. He is even better then my SF dentist :) What impressed me most is how thorough he was about his work. My family and I had been patients at Courtyard dental for 20 years. Ever since Dr Hickmont retired, and the business sold, we have had terrible customer service. First I had a terrible experience then my husband did and now today my daughter did.
I feel like they really don't care about us and just rush us through, very unaccommodating with regards to trying to set up follow up appointments. I think they over schedule and hence cannot react to help us as things come up.
At first I thought it was the office staff with the new management but with 3 different experiences at 3 different times

I love Courtyard Dental and all of the fine people that work there and take such good care of me. I have been going here for about 4 years. They were recommended to my by friends that are patients. I have been very happy ever since I have been a patient here. Mona and Kristen are my hygienists. They both do such a thorough cleaning. Ashley is the receptionist but she can do so much more. Dr. Baretto is my dentist.
