Our Martial Arts philosophy is centered on teaching our students how to confidentially respond to an attack in a calm and controlled manner that will STOP, rather than ESCALATE violence. Our mission is to provide a positive environment for adults and children to achieve their own personal goals through our Martial Arts and Fitness training programs.

We encourage parents to allow their children to start training with our experienced instructors as early as 3 years of age and 17 is the cut-off before they would start training as adults.

DeCore Martial Arts is best karate school in Cleveland area. My kids have been active for almost 4 years and I started 2 years ago. If you want your kids building confidence, gaining valuable skills and all of that in fun environment this is a place for you. Instead of signing for”little ninja” classes in places run by people without real martial arts experience come over and gain real skills from true martial artists like Mr. James and Mr. Brian.

Both James and Nikki know what they are doing. James is great with the kids, teaching them how to correctly perform the martial arts. Nikki is an amazing instructor and takes her time to show you the correct way to participate so you do not get injured. They are amazing and so glad I was able to participate in the classes they offered. Lots of opportunities to get fit with this power couple!

Initially we started bring our son who was struggling with anger issues in to help and center him, calm him down and give him an outlet. Kody has excelled in the classes, belt rank and in competitions. James isn’t just a teacher but also a life coach for him and helps to keep him grounded. My daughter saw how much classes were helping her brother and she chose to join. Both kids have been with James for about 4 years and love it.

We have checked out several places to enroll our kids in martial arts. It wasn't until someone we know told us about DeCore Martial Arts that we find the right dojo. Sensei James and Sensei Brian are outstanding teachers. We are only two months in and I can see a huge difference in the confidence and self-esteem of my daughters. Between the classes and sparring, I can see them grow week to week. If you were thinking about getting your kids into martial arts, Decore Martial Arts is the right choice.

Our son has been practicing at Decore Martial Arts since age 3 and is now 8. The instructors Mr. James Decore and Mr. Brian Theis are top notch and amazingly patient with children. They have truly played an important role in our sons life for over 4 years. Not only have they taught him the sport of Karate but discipline, confidence, strength and patience along with it. Decore Martial Arts comes highly recommended from us, many of our friends and our Karate Family at Decore!

DeCore is best karate school in Cleveland area. James and Brian are teaching kids real values and how to get better every day. They are not like most other schools which are just keeping kids entertained. There is real sweat after those practices and my kids just love it. They quit pretty much everything and everything is boring to them but I still didn’t hear that about karate after bringing them for almost a year. Keep up good work guys!
