Children's Performing Arts
We THANK YOU for your generous donations! Children's Performing Arts is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with a mission to provide a platform to explore the world of artistic expression for children and their community. We do this by providing quality educational, theatrical experiences, which enhance children's self confidence, personal growth, group collaboration and leadership skills, while building community partnerships.

Your donations are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through grants from the Minnesota State Arts Board under the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
Services
We specialize in theater education for children. This isn't your typical community theater program. ALL children who register are able to participate. In order for our programs to feel successful, every child should experience personal growth within the range of skills we teach. We work as a team to layer skills and work collaboratively to enrich each child's artistic development.
Our mission is to provide a platform to explore the world of artistic expression for children and their community. Have you paid your yearly registration fee? CPA requires a non-refundable $25 registration fee paid once a calendar year for our programs. Each program may also have waivers that will need to be signed and brought to the first rehearsal. You can either pay via PayPal (recommended) via the links on a program page, or you can mail payment via check to Children's Performing Arts, 4941 Long Ave, White Bear Lake, MN 55110.
After registration closes, script pick-up days will be set so everyone can have scripts prior to the first rehearsal. We are excited that we are planning to have a certified therapy dog as our Sandy. An opportunity to meet Oliver (AKA Sandy) will be scheduled at the beginning of rehearsal process and he will make more regular visits in 2022.
These can vary from program to program. We clearly have expectations that if your child is signed up for a program they will be attending most, if not all, of the rehearsals. This is for the success of your child, and the overall program, as our programs are heavily collaborative. We do, however, understand that emergencies come up, children fall ill, and plans are sometimes scheduled far in advance.

These shows are not your average high school play performance. The shows are very high quality with amazing talent performances. Even more amazing is the staff that casts and coaches every kid that is involved with each production. They are helping build kids confidence, public speaking abilities, creative skills, working with teams, I can't say enough about the people that work there.
My wife and I have been to several shows and intend to see more in the future. You should try them out, you will not be disappointed.

Three generations of our family went to a recent play and we all loved it! You'll definitely enjoy going to a performance -- the prices were very reasonable. Definitely amazing family entertainment!

CPA puts on high quality productions with adorable kids who are extremely talented. Your kids get to register then audition after the director gets to know the kids. It's rare these days, but everyone who registers gets a part! The CPA community creates a fun, educational, and memorable experience for not just the actors, but for their families and the community. CPA truly cares about each production and each child who walks through their door.

Recently went to see a production of Little Shop of Horrors by CPA. I've seen a lot of youth theater productions, worked in some, played music in some... enough to have an idea of the challenges. The level of professionalism I saw that day was really impressive. The facility is beautiful, the kids seemed to be truly enjoying themselves, and the show was great. Very entertaining. Consider involvement or support, or even just consider it as a family-friendly entertainment option some night. You will be glad you did.
