Services
I was looking for a cabin in the woods and shanty creek did not disappoint! Not too far from the city for a quick grocery run, but far enough away for a quiet, relaxing time. The cabin was well decorated, the porch was serene in the morning, and the fire pit made for an excellent evening campfire for my wife and I to sit and enjoy our surroundings.

We just spent a week at Coyote Bluff. The cabin is in a nice secluded location. It is way overpriced in its current condition. It is in dire need of a deep clean as well as a refurb. The view is decent but could be spectacular with a minor tree trim. We heard mice the first night which did not surprise us. We caught 3 the last night..see the pics. The washing machine was broke which we we not told about ahead of time..which was upsetting as we packed fewer clothes and purchased detergent pods we could not use. The entry door needs a latchguard for security when away from cabin. There was a cup

Disappointed! We stayed at Coyote Bluff cabin, itโs overpriced for the condition of the cabin, kitchen is outdated, dryer and washer makes so much noise, the trees had overgrown and obstructed the view. You still can see the mountain but is not as picture in the website (see photos) When we arrived we felt a strong smell, we find mouse feces in the kitchen cabinets ๐. The staff was helpful, they did the best they could.

Stayed in the Racoon cabin and had a great time. The staff was awesome to work with when we had questions or needed anything. Cabin was clean and we had zero issues with anything. BBQ grill was clean and newer. The jacuzzi was awesome perk to have and the views were amazing.
I do suggest that if you're not use to driving on mountain roads and unpaved roads I do suggest arriving before sundown.

We stayed at the Sleepy Hollow cabin and I have to give Wilderness View Cabins 5 stars for service and follow up. Everything was as expected from the cabin description. These people are very service oriented and do everything they can to provide fast service when you have any issue. I highly recommend them to anyone. We will rent a cabin again from them in the future. Some of these people that nit-pic about little things and give negative reviews fail to take into consideration that things are going to happen occasionally but the main thing is...how does the service people respond to it. That is

Have been at Black Bear for 4 hours now. The basement smells like dead fish. There is only hot water in the kitchen and main bathroom. My wife wants to take a bath in the claw foot tub but it has no hot water. The A/C unit outside is humming so loud it will keep up whomeversleeps in the bedroom next to it. The main bathroom shower has mildew in all of the seams. I have emailed and called twice with no response or call yet. The cabin does not look like the pictures that are posted on the website either. The curtains are not on the windows in the bedroom and the drapes are not hanging over the bed

We've been going to Wilderness View for years now. We've stayed in every dog-friendly cabin and we're starting on our second run through of the cabins. We've never had a less-than-stellar visit. The cabins are better than the pix and descriptions say, the staff is always ready to be helpful, and the setting is perfect for a variety of relaxing activities.
We'll keep coming back.

Last week we got married at the Cliffhanger cabin. Kelly and the staff of Wilderness View Cabins could not have been any more wonderful. They were all so helpful and professional. Kelly made all the arrangements for us; the minister, the flowers, our dinner, and even a wedding cake and a photographer. Everything turned out so perfect. Our ceremony was so deeply personal and intimate. The cabin was absoluely stunning and the views are out of this world. This cabin was the perfect place to unplug and relax, providing the perfect romantic getaway. We can't wait to go back.

This was our first time renting a cabin and we were very skeptical, sometimes pictures do not match what the real thing is, but in this case the actual cabin looked better than the ad pictures. Upon walking in the place was perfectly clean and ready for us, bed was comfortable and so was the living room furniture.
Shanty Creek is a beautiful home very cozy and comfortable for 2 people. We arrived right at the perfect time to enjoy fall, sit in the balcony and watch the leaves fall while sun creeps through the trees as it rises.
If you are a city slicker like us then driving through the mountain
