Gray Collegiate Academy serves high school students in a safe, small, family-centered environment. At Gray Collegiate Academy, students graduate from high school with over 50 hours of transferable college credits from classes taught by onsite college professors. At GCA, we believe in building a culture of excellence both in the classroom and in athletics.

Our school schedule allows our students the opportunity to develop their skills in their sport or activity while still pursuing classes at the collegiate level. Interested in finding our more about GCA? We'd love to give you more information about our academic and athletic philosophy, dual enrollment classes and professors, how to tour the school, and how to apply.
Services
On behalf of Gray Collegiate Academy administration, teachers, and staff, I welcome you to a new and what I believe will be an exciting and successful school year. I am sincerely grateful for the opportunity I have been given to work with each of you. As way of introduction I would like to take this opportunity to share with you some of my theoretical and practical beliefs about children and education.
Gray Collegiate Academy (GCA) serves high school students in a safe, small, family-centered setting who seek the opportunity and challenge of a rigorous curriculum, high academic standards, and outstanding athletics while earning up to two years of college credit while in high school.

Students graduate as responsible and contributing citizens; graduate with a high school diploma and transferable dual enrollment credits up to 60 transferable hours; graduate already immersed in the culture of college and therefore be ready to engage in coursework at higher levels; be provided the necessary coaching and skill development to be successful beyond high school; develop into leaders through athletic competition and service learning; attain educational, personal, and career-awareness skills in smaller (1:25 or lower) classes, benefit from a multi-ethnic community.
No, school counselors do not have access to your college records. You will need to go to the website below to request your official college transcript for USC Union and USC Lancaster. Students will only need to request one transcript because USC Union and USC Lancaster report their grades to USC. Students will have to click "Create an Account" and set up an account before they are able to request an official college transcript.
The major differences between IDEA and Section 504 are in the flexibility of the procedures. For a child to be identified as eligible for services under Section 504, there are less specific procedural criteria that govern the requirements of the school personnel.

Schools may offer a student less assistance and monitoring with Section 504 because there are fewer regulations by the federal government to instruct them, especially in terms of compliance. In contrast, a child identified for services under IDEA must meet specific criteria. The degree of regulation is more specific in terms of time frames, parental participation, and formal paperwork requirements.
Gray Collegiate Academy offers college classes taught by adjunct professors, on our campus, for FREE!. Through our dual enrollment program, in partnerships with USC Union and USC Lancaster, we are able to provide our students up to two years of college credit for free (no tuition fees, cost of books, or room and board) while they attend GCA.

We went over to Gray Collegiate for a baseball playoff game. Very disappointed in the fans and players. During the game, a player told our fans to go to ****. After a hard-fought loss (by both teams), their players stood on the pitcher’s mound and taunted our fans, and one of their fans started cursing at our fans as well, all while their coaches told us to “pack up the bus,” without ever saying a word to their players and fans about their behavior. Overall, just very disappointing and poor sportsmanship. It is just so important to remember Who you are playing for and to “do all for the

Grays always been a pretty disorganized, dysfunctional, trash school . However l, it was by far much better when Joedy and Aly Moots were running the show . Say what you want but they cared about the students and their best educational interests. Newsomes just a joke.

What a SORRY school! If you want a good charter school, then it is best to try an online charter school. You will get better help with academics. The Newsome principal is clearly a joke. He does not even know anything about academics and how it works. He protects the faculty and do not care about the parents or the students. If it was not for us, then this sorry school will not move forward. If I could rate as a ZERO, then I would certainly do this because the rating as a one was way too much. Me and my son will be looking into a better education ( A school who cares). It's bad when the teachers

Got suggested to go to GCA after having to leave river bluff which isn’t much better then this school. I was told it would be good for me since I played football and the school is a charter school for sports. Well I went from a first string outside linebacker to not even being noticed on the GCA team probably because the coaches didn’t have their crap together and had 50+ kids on the teams. Freshmen year didn’t learn nothing. Two of my teachers were not even certified, sophomore year not much changed then junior year a new kid looses his temper in front of me and beats the hell out of two

This school is a joke, I wouldn't trust the future of your child's education in the hands of Gray Collegiate Academy. I just recently graduated this past June and they have failed to send me my final transcript so i can forward them off to the college I will be attending in less than 2 weeks. I have called up to the school multiple times have received no answer or call back. Absolutely ridiculous

I have been a parent with GCA since the start. I have one son that graduated last year and one son that will graduate this year along with my daughter have 2 more years to complete. I have personally witness this school grow and strive to meet each student on levels that would never have been contemplated at the local school level.. The staff and faculty here at GCA constantly keep the parents in the know as to what is going on at the school by emails and by text message. If at any time I had a concern the door has always been open and the concern was addressed and taken care of asap. I strongly

I and my family are very happy with the staff and the teachers. They absolutely foster an environment where education and attaining one's personal goals are valued over the often overblown faux social environment found at most high schools. It has been stated and reinforced, the students are attending a preparatory school, and education comes first before anything else. Whatever teething issues that might have happened in the first year of operation seems to have worked themselves out. Our daughter is in all honors programs and is set to advance towards her Associates Degree from Midlands Tech
