Services
SC Whitmore School is a public school that has served thousands of students across South Carolina since 2011. SCWS is authorized by the SC Public Charter School District. All students in grades 9-12 must be under the age of 21, and they must reside in the state of South Carolina, in order to attend SCWS.
We at SC Whitmore School believe all students are bright and that learning is a function of time. One student may take a day to master a concept, another may take a week. Both achieve mastery. Through mastery-based learning, students develop effective life skills and take responsibility for their own education.
SC Whitmore School provides a fully accredited curriculum, powered by CompuHigh, which meets South Carolina standards. Credits earned from your former high school will transfer to SC Whitmore School. Your guidance counselor will work closely with you to set up your personal graduation plan and help you stay on track for graduation.
We love celebrating our students' successes. Please view our students who have completed graduation requirements early this year, Student of the Month, and Attendance All-Stars for this month. Congratulations Tori Person, a rising junior from Columbia, SC. Tori is our May Student of the Month! This is Tori's first year at SC Whitmore School and she has been a great student during her time at SCWS.
SC Whitmore School offers many great benefits including a self-paced curriculum, a comfortable and safe learning environment, and one on one teacher feedback. She enrolled at SC Whitmore School. Suddenly, Alina found she could utilize her own learning style, work at her own pace, and learn in an environment of her choosing.

I really enjoyed my last 2 years of high school with SCWhitmore Schools. The staff are very helpful and made it easy to learn the material so I could graduate. I was able to learn at my own pace and still complete my courses 3.5 months early. I highly recommend SCWhitmore School to anyone looking to learn at their own pace or who has trouble in a traditional school!

I LOVE this online school. The staff has had so much patience, and have gone to great lengths to help my son. They continue every day to do so. It is difficult to teach an autistic child online, but they are dong an excellent job.

SCWS was a great experience for our son! After we moved from another state in midyear, we discovered the concept of virtual school, and it was a blessing. He was able to complete high school, earn a year of college credit through dual enrollment, and complete an internship. SCWS worked diligently to help our son to accomplish his goals. He finished his first year at Clemson on the Dean's List for both semesters, and looks forward to another year. SCWS also was a wonderful way to prepare for online classes that he's had to take on the college campus that many traditional high school students found

SO glad we found this online school. My daughter graduated a year early, with a GPA of 3.9. You are not judged on how you look, status, or anything else that goes on in a brick and mortar school. No favoritism here. You do the lessons and you move on. I have met the staff and they are wonderful people. Think outside of the box, and your child will be happy. I never had a problem contacting the staff at the school. Your questions will be answered.

My decision to move my daughter to SC Whitmore School was a very personal one. I was so nervous about making this huge step as all of my other children graduated from our local public high school. I am pleased to say we couldn't be happier with the results. My daughter was motivated and the structure I was nervous about was present . I had communication with teachers, an online conference, and notices regarding absenteeism. The most significant difference in her success was the rise in her GPA and upon graduating, the receipt of a state awarded scholarship. Amazing. I would not have predicted the

My daughter came to SC Whitmore in the 2014-2015 school year and it has been a very positive experience. I highly recommend SC Whitmore to any parent who's child doesn't do well or feel comfortable in the traditional school setting. My daughter has gone from a C/D student to an A student at SC Whitmore thanks to their mastery policy. Your child does not progress onto the next lesson until they have submitted the current lesson and proven mastery. This is very different that other online school programs that DO NOT require mastery of the material before moving on. What a great concept that SC Whitmore

Whirmore school has been a great experience for us and just what my daughter needed. She is able to focus on only 3 subjects at a time and not have to worry about peers and high school stress. Yes, you may have to repeat some work, but that is because you didn't do it right the first time so therefore you didnt learn the material. Much better than just getting your paper marked wrong and never knowing the correct answer. We have also enjoyed the flexibility of being able to work at any time of day and not having to be on a strict schedule. A welcomed break from normal school schedule and evening
