Services
The BCLC staff is qualified in child development skills and possesses the ability to relate positively and openly to children, parents, and other staff members. Our staff is selected according to their personal qualities of warmth and empathy. BCLC has a continuous staff-training program that further develops these qualities and gives the staff specific childcare skills and knowledge that they require.
Each room incorporates the needs and developmental materials for the age of the children assigned that room. As you would at home, we provide age appropriate toys and facilities within each room. The number of staff members assigned to each room is based upon guidelines from the state and depends largely upon the number of children in the specific room.
The Caterpillar Room is for infants between one and twelve months of age. There are two caregivers with a maximum of eight infants. The Caterpillar Room specializes in individual care. Babies are fed on demand and take naps according to their own schedules. As a parent, you will receive a daily report noting when you child slept, ate, and was changed.
The Ducklings Room serves children between 12 and 24 months of age, although this may vary depending on each child's development. There are three caregivers with a maximum of 12 toddlers. Play activities are designed to encourage stimulation in fine and gross motor development and positive social and emotional interactions.
The preschool classrooms at BCLC are composed of children 3 years to 5 years of age. In multi-age classrooms children have opportunities to nurture and model skills for younger children, be nurtured and encouraged by older peer models, participate in more complex activities with older peers, and develop at their own pace knowing that there are a variety of developmental expectations in the classroom not just one.

I cannot express how much this school has changed my view of education in such a short time. I am so grateful for all of the staff and teachers there. The care and love they pour onto our children has no end. They send the most thoughtful photos and updates through the day to the parents, that really helps with any anxiety anyone has in regard to sending their little to school. The time the teachers take to update parents of daily activities so parents can feel connected to their children does not go unnoticed. Its very special and very powerful. Although your child is away from you, you are able

My son has been attending BCLC for 3 yrs and is ready to go to kindergarten. The staff has been amaizing. They love your child, make sure your child is learning social and emotional skills. I have gotten attached to all his teachers and office staff. I can't rave enough about this place and am very blessed my son was taught and helped raised by such wonderful people. Don't wait they have a waiting list, my son was on it for a year but it's worth the wait.
