You can also view some of the photos from past projects here. Everyone at Details of Sonoma takes a great deal of satisfaction in the good opinion of our past and present clients. When our clients are happy we know that we are doing our jobs well. We went through one kitchen remodel in the past, so we had a better idea of what a complete kitchen makeover involved.
The diagram below details the basic flow of a project from first meeting through completion. At Details we do things a bit differently than most other contractors: we show you all of the costs we pay for your project, we also show our overhead charges, and profit. We don't hide costs or round off things to nice easy (and profitable) numbers.
You will be called back, most times in less then 15 minutes, some times in under a minute. I haven't a clue how much it will cost. We don't have a minimum dollar size, we only want to understand what your expectations are and that's why we ask this question. As a client you will have complete visibility into all of the project costs, including our profits.
At Details of Sonoma we strive to implement a standard of conduct that made Hewlett-Packard Great. That standard was called the HP way. We have trust and respect for individuals. Dave built an outdoor patio cover for me several years ago. Within the first year the cover began to leak. Over the course of the next year he ended up making three trips to fix the leaks, nothing he did worked. After that third time I completely gave up on having him come again to get the job done right. Each time he came it took numerous phone calls, messages and emails before he would reply, totally unprofessional and I stated this to him. I am now having another contractor come out to fix the leaks. The poor design, the arrogant attitude of Dave, and lack of details on this project that I paid

We purchased a home that didn't have a garage, but had already been approved by the planning commission based on some plans drawn up by this company. We decided to make a few changes in the plans before building. This company wanted $1200 to tweak the plans (despite having them already on computer and only needing to make adjustments). We had another architect offer to start from scratch for $800, but we went with Details of Sonoma because they promised quality work in a timely fashion and they already had much of the work done due to having done the previous plans. This was early November
