For generations the Frumkin family has had roots in the optical industry. Jeffrey's first taste of the industry began while working for his father in an optical laboratory in the 1960's. After college, he segued into the retail side of the business and was a pioneer in the development of the eyewear superstore concept.
Following his success in retail, Jeffrey co-founded Eye Q Eyewear in 1993 in Massachusetts. When Jackie and Zach Frumkin joined their father, Jeffrey, in 2013 it became a true family business, combining proven success with innovative business models. Since then, the company has moved its headquarters and distribution center to sunny, St Petersburg, Florida.
