Dr. Tuong (David) Ta is a board-certified pediatric dentist who truly believes in the early prevention of dental problems and educating families about life-long healthy teeth. He uses age-appropriate techniques to provide exceptional care for you and your children. Dr. Tuong (David) Ta graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Sciences in Biology and Engineering.
Shelby joined Dr. Ta's team in 2015. She currently attends Tarrant County College and aspires to be a dentist one day. Being able to work with the children and their families is something Shelby enjoys most about her job. In addition to being a certified Registered Dental Assistant, Shelby is also certified in CPR, radiology, and infection control.
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association recommend that a visit to the dentist should be scheduled by the child's first birthday. At this young age problems can be detected, treated early, or avoided completely. More importantly, it can help establish a positive relationship between your child and the dentist.
The office attempts to schedule appointments at your convenience and when time is available. Preschool children should be seen in the morning because they are fresher and we can work more slowly with the child for their comfort. School children with a lot of work to be done should be seen in the morning for the same reason.
Some children are given nitrous oxide/oxygen, or what you may know as laughing gas, to relax them for their dental treatment. Nitrous oxide/oxygen is a blend of two gases, oxygen and nitrous oxide. Nitrous oxide/oxygen is given through a small breathing mask which is placed over the child's nose, allowing them to relax, but without putting them to sleep.

Dr. Vo is amazing and so is the staff. My son is on the spectrum and caring for his teeth can be a struggle at times. Here they are patient, understanding and very gentle. Its very clean. Everyone is friendly and we never have to wait long to be seen. They have made the dental environment for children to be fun and inviting. I will 100% recommend this place for any child and especially if they have special needs.

What a wonderful office. Went to another office down the street. They wanted to put my kid under. Dr. Ta was so patient with my son and was able to treat him in the office without putting him under. He was so proud of himself and asked when he can come back for the prizes. Thank you for taking care of my little guy. So grateful!

Dr. Ta and his staff are always very friendly and comforting for our kids. Dr. Ta goes above and beyond to make sure that children are comfortable and have a good experience. He checks in with me after any dental work to make sure everything is ok once we get home. Overall the atmosphere at the office is welcoming to children of all ages.

My daughter has been seeing Dr.Ta for 5 years. We have absolutely love him and his staff. My daughter is always looking forward to her next appointments with him. We love Pediatric Dentistry of Colleyville, especially Dr. Ta! When we moved to Texas from Seattle we left behind an amazing dentist so naturally it was going to be difficult to find one here. After unsuccessfully trying out another office first we came upon Dr. Ta and his practice and after the initial visit my kids were very excited and said they felt very comfortable and loved the fact that this office had a lot of the “same things” their old dentist had. Pediatric Dentistry of Colleyville TX is a wonderful practice. Our son has been going here for his dental care for the last 5 years and we are very pleased with the care he gets. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We were once stuck in traffic and were more than 25 minutes late to his appointment but they still got to see our son.

We have adored Dr. Ta and his staff. They listen to your concern and take the time to help you feel better. They walk you through every procedure and make you feel confident leaving your children in their care. He has been amazing with my son who had a lot of dental work since he was 2. He was so gentle and my boy sat peacefully during all of his procedures. He told me he loves going to see Dr. Ta. Dr. Ta has done so much for our family and we are so grateful.
