Western Slope Health Center is one of the finest skilled nursing facilities in Placerville, California. Utilizing 24/7 RN's and a team of 12 therapists, we provide rehabilitation services and around the clock skilled care in a comfortable, caring and friendly environment. Our gorgeous rehab gym allows our residents to achieve their maximum potential.
Our nursing department provides excellent care combined with dignity for our residents. Professionally staffed around the clock, we give your loved one comfort and specialized care. Each of our residents come to us with very different and specific rehab needs. Our entire rehabilitation team is committed to creating individualized therapy programs that directly answer those specific needs.

At Western Slope Health Center we seek to maximize the quality of life for our long-term care residents who require a specialized restorative program. This service is, of course, included in the room and board fee. My mother just had hip surgery she has 36 stitches on the side of her hip has no steady pain pills so she can get up and try to exercise her hip her bed broke and they still have not moved her to a bed thats not broken dont know whats going on.so far I'm not pleased the way there taking care of her.

I had the best care to help me be able to go home after I had back surgery! The occupational therapist gave me such good care and help. The Physical therapist helped me get my strength back to be able to go home safely. Thank you Robin and Brad. The rest of the staff are kind and helpful! Thank you all!!

This place has no business being a surgery rehab. Barely can handle caring for elders.
The protocol for post surgery care is NOT taken seriously or followed. Which has led to infections, etc.
Staff spends so much time on personal issues, arguing over or getting into personal relationships with patients, gossiping about coworkers and sharing patients personal info. Its a circus !!! The HIPAA law was broken more times than I could count. The food they serve daily can't possibly meet what would be considered healthy for elders or others. Your personal food/items are stolen by staff and patients

My mother was there for 3 weeks after a slight stroke. Food was good sharing a room was close quarters. My mother at 83, understanding where she was at and seeing long term or disabled elderly being so close to rehab was hard on her. Permanent or long term patients should be in the far wings and temporary disabled. Even though my mom had a terminal illness, Physical therapy should have worked with her more, to keep the rest of her life positive.

Wonderful Facility and talented staff. Nursing care is far above average. Sweet and caring and very professional . My father was well care for at Western Slope. The therapy team is awesome. The food although diet regulated was delicious and nutritious. The leadership team is driven to provide the 5 STAR service needed to care for the sick and aged. And my final thoughts go to the caregivers who all work so hard. Like so many, they are kind and loving.

Very pleased with recent experiences at Western Slope Health in Placerville. They have treated a mutual client/patient with excellent attention and care. Communication has been better than I have experienced at any other skilled nursing facility. The staff at this facility have gone above and beyond to ensure that the client/patient will have a successful outcome after discharge. Amazing teamwork! They truly seem to care about the person as a whole and not just nursing care. The Social Services team deserves much praise for going above and beyond. I look forward to working with this agency again

A lovely facility nestled in a serene country setting. Western Slope Health Center is as attractive inside as its surroundings outside. Staff is gracious, professional, and welcoming. It was a pleasure to meet the staff and chat with some of the residents. I encourage everyone to pay them a visit!
