Scott has been working on engines since he was 10 years old, working alongside his father and grandfather. At age 21 Scott enlisted in the United States Coast Guard to continue his education on engines while serving his country. Scott and Caren were married in 1982, and their first daughter Rebecca was born in New York while Scott was still in service.
When we found Scotty's and saw the way that he and his wife ran the business we knew the entire family would stick with Scotty's because of their sincere honesty, their affordability and their family oriented way of running the business. When our rental car overheated on our way to Las Vegas we had to take it to the closest mechanic shop and have it diagnosed. This is how we found Scotty's Auto Repair.

This place is great!!! Sandy is very helpful and thorough when explaining your repair, prices and options. All the techs I dealt with were very nice, informative and helpful. I asked for a courtesy inspection with a few problem areas for them to review and they gave me plenty of info on things with my car and whether they were necessary at this time. Pricing is very fair. Definitely recommend this shop, you won't regret it.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality
I called in for a quote on a clutch replacement on my non modified car. They said they had to see the car in person, most places don't make you waste your time driving in to get a price to see if you might want them to work on your car. Will tell others to avoid this place!

We were on Van Buren Blvd on our way from Idyllwild to Orange County for doctor appointments when we developed a serious oil leak. AAA asked where we wanted to be towed and we requested that they please recommend a place because we hadn't a clue. I don't have enough of the right words to express how great Scotty's was. Don't go here! seriously, if everyone finds out, then I'll never be able to get my car in there. They do a fantastic job, charge fair prices and suggest additional services based on safety concerns, which saved me from disaster. Suggesting a brake adjustment/tune-up which I tried to put off, they didn't take no. Driving home that same day, a car pulled out forcing me to hit the brakes as hard as I ever had. Luckily I stopped, but if I hadn't listened to them, possibly a very different ending. Ok, fine- go there too, I'll just have to plan ahead better.

Quick smog check to get my registration done with the dmv. Very nice place, pretty mom and pop. I accidentally parked In the back and walked through the shop. Kinda glad I did cause I saw how clean and professional the place was. I mean wow. I’ve never seen such a well kept shop. The lady in the front was a very nice person, good for conversation and helpful. And spoke with the owner as well who was a pretty great person too, former coast guard sailor. All in all, great repair shop!
