It's fall and that means it is time to harvest one of my most beloved herbs for A) healing on all levels of our being and B) flavor, color and tea blending: Hawthorn berries. I want to share this Hawthorn and Motherwort tea I've been sipping as an inspiration. There is no doubt about it: People love plants.
People have always know this, but a recent study showed evidence that they really do help us feel better. One way that most anyone can engage with and relate to plants is through keeping house plants. This week I'm continuing with the plant craft theme to share an easy and accessible way to craft with plants: a nature weaving wall hanging porject.

I work with people who want to feel better, to get out from under the residue of sickness, pain, trauma, anxiety, exhaustion. But having an intentional embodiment practice can shift us into working with the full range of our healing capacity. We can call it the realm of psychoneuroimmunology, or behavioral neuroscience.
I am especially available for providing acupuncture in Northeast Portland neighborhoods, because that is where I live: Alberta, Irvington, Concordia, Sabin, King and Interstate corridor, Boise, Eliot, Alameda, Cully, Beaumont-Wilshire, Woodlawn, Vernon. I will also travel to Inner Southeast, South East, North Portland, Northwest far Northeast and deep South East and other part of Portland to provide in-home acupuncture.
It seems to be more of a matter of who I tend to attract into my practice, and how I deliver medicine rather than what specific ailments I treat. I know what it's like to have conventional medicine tell you, "I'm sorry, we can't help you".
Even if you are receiving effective care from Western medicine modalities, acupuncture, herbs, supplements and self-care rituals can help bolster your entire system when you are dealing with hard to treat issues like endometriosis, chronic fatigue, environmental toxicity, Lyme disease, mold toxicity, allergies, PMS and so on.I often treat sensitive people, both physically sensitive and highly sensitive, empathetic people.

Embodied means coming home to your body, again and again, amongst all sorts of feelings and sensations, no matter how life is happening around you. When you feel out of sorts, when old wounds arise, when you feel sick or drained, you listen to what your body is saying. Honor its feelings and experiences.

Hawthorn and Motherwort are two of my personal favorite herbs for anxiety and palpitations.
