A colonoscopy (koh-luh-NAH-skuh-pee) allows a doctor to look inside the entire large intestine. The procedure enables the physician to see things such as inflamed tissue, abnormal growths, and ulcers. It is most often used to look for early signs of cancer in the colon and rectum. It is also used to look for causes of unexplained changes in bowel habits and to evaluate symptoms like abdominal pain, rectal bleeding, and weight loss.
Upper endoscopy enables the physician to look inside the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum (first part of the small intestine). The procedure might be used to discover the reason for swallowing difficulties, nausea, vomiting, reflux, bleeding, indigestion, abdominal pain, or chest pain. For the procedure you will swallow a thin, flexible, lighted tube called an endoscope (EN-doh-skope).

I love my doctor. I have had Dr Halal for years. Problem is I was scheduled at 945am and I was seen at 11am by the Dr. Finally leaving the place at around 12 noon. The scheduling dept needs to STOP telling people a time and then have them wait for an indefinite amount of time just so they can fill the day with appts. This happens alot in this industry and it's not a good example of common courtesy. My time is just as valuable. It would make sense to charge whomever did the scheduling for my time lost having to wait. Unfortunately, I'm not the 1st or the last with this complaint and nothing seems

Dr.Panzarella is incredible. His bed side manner is great. I have been suffering for years and switch gastro Dr. To him. He has me on the right track. He is understanding and listens to your concerns. Very knowledgeable. I felt at ease talking to him. He takes his time with each patient, goes over diagnosis clearly and treatment plans. His staff is helpful and kind. I highly recommend him.

I had a consult today and met with Dr. Panzarella and team. Efficient and friendly team. They ran on time and I was able to get my routine colonoscopy scheduled in less than 2 weeks. Dr. Panzarella listened and asked good questions and educated during my appointment. I did not feel that I was rushed out the door and that he was interested in my health and comfort regarding my procedure prep. I will recommend this office to friends and family.

I am amazed at the amount of attention, kindness, and care this place has provided to me on the first time.
Right away they took me in, all the staff was nice, in a good mood and happy to help.
Dr. Panzarella is fantastic. I have gone to a few doctors and I’m normally discouraged. But Dr. Panzarella listens like no other, he engages in a conversation, and, above all, he understood what I was feeling!
I definitely recommend.

An Amazing experience today meeting Doctor & staff. What a wonderful & refreshing experience to have your physician speak & share the word of God, and shared beliefs. This office visit increased my faith as well as my confidence in the doctor and his recommendations to take care of me & my medical needs. Thank you so much!

Arriving about 20 minutes early for my appointment allowed me to get the Covid screening and updating my new address and pharmacy information. Within moments, I was called back for my vital signs and reason for my visit. Within a few moments, Dr. Quagliata came in and we went over my issue. I had seen him last over two years ago and he remembered some of my personal info. He always has a smile and a caring professional manner about him. I agreed with his course of treatment and was on my way. The office was bright and immaculate and the staff were very pleasant as we wished a Happy New Years to

My family & I have been going to CAGI since 2005. I recommend all Drs. I'm disappointed of the management and medical records. I couldn't get a hold of medical records and I can make an appointment either. Dr Quigliata knows my medical history and he recommends my follow up colonoscopy in 5 years. 5 years passed and I can't have in there anymore because my insurance is not good for them (OSCAR), can't have a copy of my last colonoscopy report either, I don't know what to do. feeling helpless. I need to do this procedure because I have colon cancer medical history.

They have been nothing but horrible to my husband. Not accommodating to any schedule to be seen and because of their constant mess ups it took over 5 months to get him a prescription for a medicine he desperately needed. Now they prematurely stopped the prescription and lied to the pharmacy company. Absolutely disgusting practice. Don’t recommend to anyone.

Honestly I have always had good experiences at this office and I very much love Dr. Q. I have had two endoscopies with this practice and they went flawlessly and the staff is very warm and welcoming. The only thing that gets to me is that when I was there in Dec 2020 the waiting room started to get a bit backed up and it was really making it impossible for social distancing. I started to get quite uncomfortable and moved my seat three times to accommodate others who weren't following guidelines. I waited for about half an hour in the waiting room and for someone that has anxiety in waiting

The building was slightly difficult to find but I blame my GPS! Once I found the bldg, I stepped in to find a modern waiting room with two ladies doing check-in and triage. They seemed nice and helpful while making this process smooth. I waited for only a few minutes before the medical assistant called me. She was very sweet and made me feel at ease. I then waited about 10 min to see Dr. Quagliata.
Doctor Quagliata was very nice, professional, and informative. He also went to school in my old neighborhood in NYC, so it was nice to share a commonality. This was only an initial consultation appointment

All I had to say is, we waited for 1 hour in a closed room. Assistant placed us in the room at 1:01pm. At 1:30pm, My heart was pounding fast and felt like I might passed out and I had to open the door and stood in the hall way. There weren't anyone waiting when we checked in, thought that it'll be quick for my mom to see the doctor but turned out it's an hour long wait. Now the Dr just walked in at 2:03pm and done at 2:09pm. Drs reason: emergency procedures for patients at the hospital. 1 hour long wait for a 6 minutes visit.
