Comprehensive Medpsych Systems
CMPS will continue to provide top-quality care with telehealth for almost all services including therapy, psychiatric medication management, psychological testing, and educational consultation. We have resumed TMS and Spravato treatments which are now available to patients. For most insurances, telehealth is covered the same as if you came into the office (co-pay, deductible).

If you need to cancel your appointment due to illness, you will be charged the late cancel/no show fee during this time.
Services
Comprehensive MedPsych Systems, a nationally-recognized and private counseling center, offers a wide range of mental and behavioral health services delivered by compassionate professionals. We are considered the largest and most comprehensive private behavioral mental healthcare group in Florida with offices expanded into Alabama.
Comprehensive MedPsych Systems, Inc. was founded in Sarasota, Florida in 1998 by Dr. Geoffrey Kanter. Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a non-invasive treatment used for cases of severe depression and OCD offered here at Comprehensive MedPsych Systems. This revolutionary approach uses magnetic stimulation of the brain to help improve mood.

Approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in 2008, TMS has been deemed helpful for those who cannot get significant relief from traditional approaches, such as antidepressant medications, or who have bad side effects from medications. It is also an alternative for those who choose not to take prescription medication to treat their depression.
Comprehensive MedPsych Systems is affiliated or works closely with schools and programs located within the cities we service. From children to the elderly, from athletes to artists, our professionals specialize in comprehensive testing, evaluation, and treatment services.

We offer psychological and educational tests for school-aged children, from pre-kindergarten on up to the college level - a vital service offered at all Comprehensive MedPsych Systems offices.
Your psychiatrist may prescribe medications to help with mood, attention or organization of thinking. Patients on medications must be evaluated by the physician at regular intervals and whenever there is a change in your status. Initially, it will take several visits to ensure the effects of the medication are stable and effective.

I really liked my therapist, but the business and billing practices of CMPS/ refresh are not great. Charged me on two occasions even though my insurance paid all claims in full. I requested a refund April 7 and have still nothing almost 3 months later. When I call, billing office is not helpful. I get mistakes happen… but it should have been corrected by now.

I wish I would've read these reviews before coming to them.
I didn't know an almost hoir visit is $575 and I wouldn't know that because their team didn't do what they were suppose to do being that I have insurance.
I would not recommend anyone go to them unless you have a written contract or something.
This place is the reason so many ppl don't get the help they so desperately need.
Until you guys do better I hope not another penny comes your way.
Money hungry establishment with no regard to anyone's actual mental health.
This was my first time trying to get the help I needed but now this

I truly feel sorry for anyone who has had the misfortune of dealing with this business. My attempt to seek help for my son resulted in weeks of aggravation and no real help. The office staff will keep you on hold for 20 minutes at a time. If you manage to leave a message, it will not get a response for several days. If you’re lucky enough to actually get an appointment, it might be weeks until you see someone. Then, after you fill out 15 pages of intake information, the doctor will ask you the same intake questions for an hour because he spent no time reviewing records before the appointment

If there were an option for 0 stars, that is what I would rate this office. The reviews that say their customer service is non-existent are spot on. Prepare to be billed the wrong amount for your appointments as well as being billed for Teams appointments your doctor doesn’t even show up for. When these issues arise (and they will) absolutely no one will answer or return your call to fix the issue. All of the responses saying to “call the main line”. Please inform me exactly who we should ask for when doing so, because I have called both the “main line” and billing, left messages and

Office would not treat my husband due to the fact we are in litigation at the moment. Completely unacceptable when dealing with the mental health of patients.

We liked our therapist, but their customer service is non-existent and billing practices horrible. They made us pay a copay on two occasions even though our insurance company issued an EOB saying we don't owe a copay. Have called and emailed their billing office many times with NO response over several weeks.

Update: The owner responded requesting for me to call their main office. That's the number I have called several times already and have gotten nowhere. In addition, I see that my special needs son was just charged another $25 on 4/5/21 in addition to the $425 he was already charged, yet he hasn't seen a therapist at this facility since February 2021. I am very concerned because it seems like this facility continues to take advantage of someone with a documented disability. If someone from this company would like to reach out to me directly, that would be wonderful, but I am done reaching out on

Went through 6 months of therapy which was fine. However, as many others have complained about, they are almost impossible to get in contact with via phone. I was scheduled for a follow up appt in September to receive a prescription refill. It’s now October and still nothing from them.

Dr Eader is very friendly and a great doctor BUT this “business” is run so terribly and I felt the need to post a review which I NEVER ever do. Covid 19 hit and I understand everyone is having a difficult time adjusting but it’s been 7 months now and this place is STILL CLOSED. They say they are returning calls but that’s a lie. I had to call twice demanding immediate attention to the fact my pharmacy had reached out 3 times to get approval to refill a medication I take that I absolutely cannot go off cold turkey. Pharmacy received no response and neither did I. I am on day 3 of not having

It was a nightmare from start to finish. They double booked the first telemed visit. The doctor basically told my son his problems were all mental caused by him. Why did I pay someone to tell him that??? How about you teach him how to cope with his problems? Then the billing. They charged me for every visit when my health insurance provider covers it 100%, the amounts were always different. When I did get to speak to a human I was advised that if insurance pays more than they expected I would have a credit on the account, they don’t refund. I have cancelled the sessions and now have to fight
