Please make every effort to keep your appointment or give 24 hours notice if you cannot attend so others can use the time! Each session runs about 52 minutes. Reimbursement may be available from individual insurance companies--check with your provider. Rates are determined by the individual therapist and special arrangements can be made with churches and organizations.

Biblical Counselors/Certified Life Coaches are not Licensed Therapists but are skilled at working through a variety of similar issues. BC/CLC's do not qualify to be reimbursed by insurance and cannot diagnose or treat mental illness. BC/CLC's services are offered at reasonable rates to partner with individuals and churches.

My wife and I started marriage counseling with the therapist Eric Miklusicak a few months ago. Erik took it upon himself to text my wife on his personal cellphone outside of business hours behind my back, while my wife and I were both patients of his. We were going through an extremely rough time in our marriage and this only exacerbated our issues. It was extremely unethically, and unprofessional. I reported him to the company and to the board. We will not be coming back.

I didn't like that the marriage therapist spent 30 minutes of our 1hr appointment trying to convert my husband. Yes religion can play a huge roll in the relationship and it does change how one approaches therapy. However 30 minutes was a little much and the one thing it did accomplish ..it got my husband and i to agree on something...not going back

Downey Park has been a great place for my wife and I to learn and grow! We were married for 19 years, got a divorce, then got back together...when we reconciled, we went looking for a place that would really work to help us build on a solid foundation, and we did through the help of Downey Park. Now we have been married for almost two years and have received the tools, understanding and guidance so that this marriage will last for the rest of our lives. I am so grateful for Downey Park counseling. I have spoken with one of their counselors on multiple occasions and really think that getting an outside perspective and help in life is very, very valuable.
