The air conditioning unit in your vehicle operates similarly to a refrigerator. Your vehicle's air conditioning unit is designed to move heat from the inside of your car to outside of it. The refrigerant carries heat. In modern cars, refrigerant is a substance called R-134a. Older cars' refrigerant is called r-12 freon, which is more expensive and difficult to find than R-134a.
If you live in a larger city, you may be subject to emissions testing. If you fail your emissions test, you may need to get your exhaust system repaired or replaced. The team at Russ Auto Care can diagnose and repair your exhaust system and help you pass your emissions test. While your exhaust system helps reduce noise output from your vehicle, it also significantly reduces harmful emissions from being released into the air.

I recently took my car to Russ Auto for a chirping sound in my car. They immediately were able to identify the problem, and thoroughly explained it to me as well. I was also informed of some other issues with my car, but I was not pressured at all to have it fixed by them. Russ Auto only explained everything to me, with no pressure.
They were good and honest every step of the way. In addition, they will give you a ride to and from your home while your car is being repaired. And you get a free cookie from Good L'oven Cookie shop...so good!

My car recently died one night. We had it towed to Russ Auto Care. We figured that it was the battery by the way it was acting. He put in a new battery and called and said it would be $180 for a battery, labor, and diagnostic test (I'm not sure what he tested as it was pretty clearly the battery). So my husband and I were like Okay that's a little steep but fine. Then the guy called back and said oh it's the alternator too and while I have stuff apart I'm going to replace the serpentine belt and it'll be $650. We were very taken aback at that pricing and were not expecting

I have been taking all of my cars to Russ pretty much since they opened for business. I never have to wait long for an appointment. Sometimes they get me in the same day. I live in the neighborhood and they shuttle me back and forth from my home. The staff is friendly and honest. The service is competent and reasonably priced. I highly recommend Russ. John S.
