Services
We realize that no two people are the same and as such tailor our therapy to meet the specific needs of our clients. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression or any other issue, we will help you recognize underlying problems, fully realize your strengths and adjust certain behaviors and thoughts to see things a different, healthier way.
Families Forward offers individual therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. Therapy is tailored to the individual needs of the person seeking treatment. Individual therapy for children and adolescents often involves the parents/guardians and asks them to play an active role in the treatment process.
Families Forward offers different groups depending on the current needs of our clients. Examples of groups available at Families Forward are listed below. Please call our office or email [email protected] to get more information about the groups that are currently running. Dr. Delancy offers a group for children and adolescents diagnosed with Dyslexia.
In order to provide the most helpful recommendations that are specialized for each child, adolescent or adult, our team gathers information from several sources to inform our testing services. We provide an in-depth clinical interview with a psychologist where detailed information regarding history, development, and school data are collected.
Our parenting group is a 6-10 week group depending on the needs of the group. The group format allows for parents to share their experiences with other parents and get feedback and support. Specifically, the group focuses on managing behaviors related to Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and problematic behaviors associated with Autism Spectrum Diagnoses.

(coming from a kid’s pov) i was told by my doctor that i had to get therapy for my anxiety. at first i was very worried about having to talk to a stranger about all my problems, but just as my therapist called my name the very first day i could already tell i would look forward to coming here. my therapist is very caring and listens to every single thing i tell him. i only just had my second day yesterday, but we’ve already started playing games and we’re learning more about each other. i couldn’t ask for a better therapist than the one i got at families forward! ☺️🌸 (update:) this

They re-scheduled my son’s second appointment four times. No one answers the phone. No one knows insurance questions at the front desk. And never was able to get an official date for the second appointment because “they weren’t sure about the times”. The one appointment that my husband and I had with Dr. Holsten as the first meeting was great but They are so over booked and should stop taking in patients if they don’t have space on the calendar.

My stepmother tried several times to get fmla set up, first few times went well but the last two times he outright lied. The first time they sent it to the wrong office, and the second time they said they had faxed it over, but the fmla office said they never received it. Then the doctor tried to be bubby-buddy with my nephew instead of a professional adult. I understand that this works for some kids, but others needed a different approach. My nephew doesn't need a buddy, he needs a professional.
