The staff were very friendly and accommodating even after they worked long hours due to a storm. If we had a question about where to go, or what to do, they gave us plenty of options. The room was very clean and from our balcony we had the most amazing view of the Aurora.
We had a change in flight and it was easy to extend our stay.
The only thing I would change is that housekeeping doesn't come during your stay and the garbage piles up in the room. I think they should at least come in empty the garbage and make the bed.
Excellent lodge and I will be returning

Mostly courteous staff, some a little Curt. Kitchen running most of the day and bar In the afternoon is amazing place to hang out. Family games offered. Limited shuttle ability. The shuttle driver and Cherry at front desk were above and beyond.

TL;DR: A great gateway to the Fairbanks area!

We stayed here for our first and last nights in the Fairbanks area and its proximity to the airport was the main reason why (didn't want to get snowed in at our more remote cabin and miss our flight home!) but we found it to be an excellent place on its own merits. The staff were all uniformly friendly and helpful, the breakfast was much appreciated (waffles! also boiled eggs, breakfast sandwiches, potatoes, yogurt, hot and cold cereal, cottage cheese), and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and attractive. It was fun to walk across the "

What an experience. Never have I ever had such a great time at a hotel - and yet it all still felt like home. It was like a walk back in history with the ice cream socials, and the bonfire, though it was a bit cold to sit out in the subzero temperatures. They also had a great dry sauna, which was out of this world when coming in from freezing temperatures. Their best thing, though, was the "Aurora" call - they would call to wake you up to see the lights. The breakfast each day was amazing, and what a spread. The staff were all friendly and kind, and we loved getting to know the drivers

Cute hotel right by the airport, and they've done everything to make the area NOT seem like a airport hotel. Quirky decorations and beautiful touches to the building. I visited in mid November, so the gardens and outdoor views were null, but they built up a beautiful piece of land. My room had an incredibly comfortable bed and interesting decorations.
While the planes aren't loud, the dogs were. There was barking all through the night outside, there was a large dog in the room to my right and a small dog in the room to my left. I found it weird that they put me in a room between two dog owners

If you are coming to Fairbanks, you want this hotel. It is as beautiful as it is friendly. We were given an apple pie when we arrived (book directly from the hotel website for options like this). The breakfast was the highlight of each morning. As the other reviews clearly state, this is not your average free hotel breakfast. The artwork around the hotel belongs in a museum. While in the lobby take the time to stop and appreciate the small details that went into the decoration. The 24 hour gift shop has all your basic needs.
The only issue I have is that our Aurora View room we paid for had a

Alaska hotels are usually quaint and dated. This was no exception. It was however well maintained and several people made this stay wonderful starting with the receptionist Alexia who over the phone made me confident that this was going to be a good place to stay. She was cheerful, informative and very helpful with excellent suggestions. The housekeeper though, made this stay exceptional. A special thanks to Fernanda who made our stay great.

5/5 stars!!
An amazing experience with a very family-friendly vibe. Staff was amazing. Awesome full breakfast and ice cream from 6-9pm included. Hotel Shuttle picked us up at the Alaskan Railroad train station. I ESPECIALLY LOVED the call from the front desk when the Northern Lights were visible from our room’s balcony (even at 3AM). Currently the beautiful cabins are being totally gutted and renovated and look great from what we can sneak a peek inside. I cant wait to stay in them next year.
Overall, the hotel has a very ‘home-y’ vibe with beautiful museum-quality art work.

This lodge knows how to treat its guests. The complimentary breakfasts is one of the best I've had. They offered boiled eggs, oatmeal, cereal, bagels, toast, sausage/egg/cheese biscuits, coffee, hot tea, and a do-it-yourself waffle bar. When we checked in, they handed us two tokens for free ice cream the following night. We cashed them in the next night for our selection from six different ice creams. They gave us a very generous scoop.

The gorgeous Chena river flows right behind the lodge and you can walk its banks. There is an outdoor, aurora room with plenty of glass windows for

Stayed here 4 nights on our trip and things were pretty good, until today.
Sitting around the bar area waiting on our flight and noticed a gentleman get up from a table and walk to the bar. He went behind the bar, grabbed a couple glasses, stuck both hands down in the ice bin, filling both with ice. He then proceeded to fill them with pop and walked back to his table.
I got up and spoke to the bartender who had been back getting more ice. Turns out the guy is the owner! Talk about setting a bad example for employees! In this time of COVID, to get up from a table after shuffling paperwork and handling

My notes for this place say "Why not more love?"

and

"didn't even use ice cream token"

This place is cozy, nice, and CHEAP. It's rare to get a hotel this good for this low of a price in Alaska!

The staff were really nice and...you get a freakin' ice cream token!

If you're driving back from the far reaches of Alaska and can't do Anchorage in a single-push, this is your spot to get some rest...and maybe eat some ice cream.

This was probably one of the best hotel stays I've ever had.

The room was quiet, clean, super comfy, and had a beautiful view. The service was *excellent* and the staff was not only very courteous and helpful, but also just genuinely nice. I laughed when I read the sign outside that said "The friendliest hotel in Fairbanks!" but it might actually be true!

The only tiny downside to the (very comfy) room was that you have to be a contortionist to reach the toilet paper roll in the bathroom, so I just ended up leaving it on the bathroom counter - not the nicest or most sanitary

This place had more amenities than anywhere I've stayed and the rates were so affordable. What was best was the people. I've never been treated so well and have felt so much like family staying somewhere for a night before. The sign in front of the lodge is 100% accurate. We got a personal tour and shuttle service at the drop of a hat. It is so clean and soooo cute. I can't say enough good things about this place!!

I had a wonderful stay at Pike's. It is in a good part of town, and it has a very cabin-like feel to it. The staff were personable and accommodating, and there is a great restaurant on site that serves great food. It's also a great starting point to hike or snow machine across the Chena River! Although I currently live in AK, I always recommend Pike's to anyone whose is visiting Fairbanks!

My stay here was amazing! It truly is such a friendly place to stay at!! The employees are truly helpful and attentive to whatever needs you may have. I was recently in Fairbanks and unfortunately did not book any vehicle rentals due to the fact that I was not comfortable driving on ice or snow conditions, mainly because I'm from Southern California. Because it was a bit difficult to call up a taxi for service, the wonderful front desk attendants helped pull a list of taxi cab services and also provided to and from shuttles to the airport on my arrival and departure. My husband and I stayed here to attend the ice sculpting at the fairgrounds. We received a really good package deal. We were grated by a really friendly lady at the reception desk. She was incredibly friendly! We booked a two queen bed in the front due, but requested a king River room. Upon arrival we were assigned a corner king River front room.

The room was comfortable and clean. We loved The room and location. We will be coming back! Highly recommend!

What a great hotel, with wonderful polite staff. We had such a great experience we would Definitely advise our friends and Family to stay at Pikes waterfront lodge. Beautiful decor and warm comfortable clean rooms. Close to everything we wanted too do. We made day trips to the North Pole were we found a great restaurant to eat . I believe it was called the country cafe. The staff here at the hotel were warm and friendly. And a good source of knowledge for us to ask about local attractions. Coming to Alaska has always been our dream and the folks here made it a happy one. Ed and Diana Howell

Very cute. Quaint lodge that really build the atmosphere for a log cabin in the inside. Lots of art of dogs and emphasis on this spot being the starting line for the Iditarod several years ago. Funky portraits of dogs. They have a reading/hangout nook with books and some board games. There is a breakfast room and a conference/extra tables room. At the check in, they have a cool aurora forecast and they will call your room if the aurora is out.

We were not lucky enough to get the aurora seeker rooms (cz we didn't pay for that). But you have access to everything that comes with that package
