Hands On Therapy
At Hands On Therapy our mission is simply to help you move better by providing services that are designed to restore motion and relieve pain so that you may participate in the activities you enjoy. Our philosophy is that knowledge is essential to healing and an integrative hands-on approach and proper client education are the keys to the prevention, recognition and treatment of sports injuries, postural imbalances and the strain patterns that lead to muscular tension and pain.

Whether you are a serious athlete, a fitness enthusiast, or simply have a busy, active lifestyle, Hands On Therapy will provide you with the personalized care you need to help you reach your sports health, pain management and/or general wellness goals.Moira Kiley, ATC, MAT, is a graduate of Endicott College and Salem State University and holds degrees in both business and sports medicine with a minor in biology.
Services
Sports Injury Evaluations are a complimentary service for both existing and potential clients. Injury evaluations help to determine the best course of treatment to get the athlete on the road to recovery and back in the game. Postural Assessments are free of charge and are key to identifying the strain patterns that lead to pain patterns.
Total Motion Release (TMR) is a nontraditional but effective approach to therapy that allows the body to naturally realign and heal using a systematic series of exercises to balance strength and range of motion. Once you grasp the concept you have a lifetime tool that you can use to treat your pain and discomfort.
Avazzia Microcurrent devices provide natural healing without unwanted side effects by using extremely low-level electrical currents to help treat nerve and muscle pain, scar tissue, inflammation and other health challenges. Each tissue in the human body has its own specific electrical frequency which may be disrupted by injury or disease.
Cold laser therapy is low-intensity laser therapy that stimulates healing. The name "cold" laser comes from the fact that this therapeutic technique uses low levels of light that are not enough to heat your body's tissue. During this treatment, different wavelengths and outputs of low-level light are applied directly to the targeted area, allowing the injured tissue to absorb the light.
A technique that focuses on the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue with the purpose of releasing chronic tension and pain in the body. The therapist uses his/her fingers, thumbs, knuckles, fists, palms, elbows and forearms to apply different types of techniques and movements such as compression, sliding/gliding, friction and broadening.

This massage is extremely interactive, and is essential for people who have chronic pain.
Her educational background in clinical physical therapy as well as massage therapy and several in-depth techniques will make you come out of a session with a different body than you came in with.
It only took her one 90-minute session to work on my hip and piriformis syndrome to completely release the tension and tightness. I ended up going to my chiropractor the next day and he was amazed at how my body accepted her work, and how it didn't tense back up immediately.
I strongly recommend Hands On Therapy

Hands on Therapy was fantastic. Moira takes a lot of time to listen before anything. She is constantly learning new techniques to help her clients. Through both her hands on and referral to a chiropractor, she dramatically improved the quality of my life and I highly recommend her.
