Expand on what he or she does naturally, building upon his or her interests, at the same time setting consistent and appropriate limits. This is reflected in the activities we choose for both our large and small group times. We emphasize students' behavior in working and playing together as a major goal of our program.
While we encourage academics, they are not stressed in our preschool program. The Preschool program meets Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 9:00 - 11:30 am OR 12:30 - 3:00 pm. Our 5 Day Pre-K students also attend additional Wednesday and Friday sessions. Our summer program runs the first 3 weeks in June.

Services
Stephanie Hansen graduated from UNI with a BA in Elem/Early Childhood Education and a Reading Endorsement. After graduating, Stephanie substitute taught in Cedar Falls and surrounding area schools in grades PK-12. She is married, has three children, and lives in Cedar Falls. Stephanie joined the Farmstead staff in 1998 and has taught in both the Farm Friends and Preschool programs.
Engaging with our animals continues to be a vital part of the education process here at Farmstead. Our students love feeding these chickens and gathering the eggs! We're getting ready for the new school year! Please bring any remaining paperwork. The AM class starts at. It looks like the weather will be perfect for Farm Fun Day on Saturday.

My three year old daughter just completed the year at Farmstead. At the beginning of the year, she was an ambitious young lady who was scared of animals and not the best of listeners. Now, half way through the year, her comfort level with the farm animals has grown immensely! My 2 year old will start in the farm friends program this fall!
