I am called a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I am a registered nurse with lots of advanced training that leads me to independently be able to sit with you, talk, and explore what is going on. Because I am a health care provider, I will use very defined medical diagnostic terms in documentation.
But, I will see you as a person and will look at these terms as opportunities to make your life better. Primary services include management of adults with depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, phobias, mood disorders, and post traumatic stress disorder. I collaborate with other mental health and medical professionals.

She provides services and maintains a private practice in Appleton, WI. She enjoyed nearly ten years in Family Medicine and over that time she became more passionate about mental health and wellness.
I realize that no two people are the same and as such tailor my therapy to meet the specific needs of my clients. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression or any other issue, I will help you recognize underlying problems, fully realize your strengths and adjust certain behaviors and thoughts to see things a different, healthier way.
A Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is a certified advanced practice nurse professional that specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of mental illness and psychological problems. I do not provide primary therapy services. In this setting, my primary role would be to recommend and manage medications when appropriate and review risks, benefits, and alternatives to medications.
Depending on your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, it is possible for services to be covered in full or in part. Please contact your provider to verify how your plan compensates you for psychiatric services. Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?.
