Critical: Professionalism
After agreeing to an appointment time and price of diagnostic, Doran King welched and decided they would rather not work on my vehicle, citing “work backlog” and “not usually the easiest problem to diagnose.” Wanted to give them a shot due to the positive reviews I read here, but my experience was less than honorable.

Two things keep my Sebring on the road with over 200,00 miles, me and Doran King Auto! Tom is always friendly and straight forward about what I need to do and what I don't need to do. I have tried to use a few shops closer to my house, but I always return to DK...the service and honesty are worth the drive.

This place is great and the owner is straightforward and honest. We've been going here for a few years and have always had great service. Recently we called over to another garage for a 2nd opinion on a major repair, and when we told them that the original quote and diagnostic came from Doran King, the competitor said "Oh I trust them! They are really good."
When the competition rates you high, they've got to be good! We recently bought a vehicle and brought it here for the check up before purchase; they fit us in right away and had the inspection done exactly on time

We've been coming here for over 10 years with various cars and have never felt cheated, ripped off or whatever negative you might feel about garages/mechanics. Trustworthy, courteous, honest, superb workmanship, easy to deal with too! Once Tom, the owner, went beyond the call and dealt with a used car warranty issue for us ! A true small business that I am happy to support!

Wish I could give these guys a 10 star! The service is perfect, prices are fair, and they do high quality work! They've worked on our jeep grand cheroke, a honda accord, a dodge durango, and our toyota land cruiser. As long as we live anywhere in the Twin Cities we will always and only go to Doran-King!!

Doran King is my idea of what a good neighborhood garage should be...and this one is! I have been taking my cars there for over 20 years. From Tom, who greets you and handles all your appointments and phone calls and your bill, to the mechanics who will come out and chat about your car and your family, to Roger, who although retired, still comes in to help Tom. They are ethical, fair, timely and best of all in my neighborhood! This is a gem not to be overlooked. Thanks Doran King!
