Services
We are proud that Lake Moc-A-Tek Campground has been family & locally-owned and operated for three generations since being founded in 1961 by James & Helen Pappas. Lake Moc-A-Tek Campground for RVs, Tenting, and Cabins is a warm and friendly place to stay, located in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania.
We offer 150 RV sites with 2-way or 3-way hook-ups, 15-50 amps, picnic tables & fire rings. We can accommodate everything from your pop-up camper to full RV. RV Section 100 and Section 200 offer 3-way hook-ups with water, 30-amp electricity, & sewer hook-up. Bring your family, friends, and even your pet.
Four (4) individual 12' x 12' one-room cabins with standard household electricity to charge cellphones, laptops, tablets or play radios. Not intended for appliances which generate cold or heat. Great for couples, families, small groups, family reunions. No tent to set-up and take down! For these basic accommodations, you simply need to bring your own sleeping bags, linens and any other items that you may want during your stay.
Each one of our tent sites can accommodate several large tents. All sites start lakefront, are shaded by trees, and extend up to the access road so all sites are both shaded and open-air. Pitch your tent as you like! Tent sites each have a picnic table and a fire ring. There are shared electric outlets and water faucets spaced throughout the tenting area.
Due to insurance reasons, no personal boats/water craft are permitted to be launched on Lake Moc-A-Tek. We have rowboats for rent (see prices below), and campers are permitted to attach their own electric trolling motors to our PA Licensed rowboats. Upon renting a boat, the camper will be asked to read and sign our Boating Rules and Regulations.

I have been going there for the past 5 years and friends of ours had a camper there as well. Management has changed and the place is being run into the ground. The owners are no longer present and they only have one person working there. The restrooms are falling apart. The grass was knee high. The kids pool had dirty yellow water and garbage in it.
While I was there camping many RPV owners complained about various conditions. You can tell h place is no longer managed at all and more and more RV sites are left vacant where there were no RV sites available in the past. Sad but it is the reality

Overall pleasant experience, you have a feeling of camping with a concierge service, staff is friendly and you always have someone to help at the office, since this is not a state park you may have a feeling of more freedom and security. There are few minor things i pointed out below most of campers wont see as a problem. You are on a private farm. We experienced some maintenance and construction activities on weekend, i was told this was a one time deal. Need to be more considerate. Some rental boat ore locks are broken but there are plenty that are not, just need to be fixed. One pick nick table
