Hanover Winery opened their doors in 2009 as Butler County's only winery. Owners Eddie and Elizabeth (Scheffel) McDonald decided to turn a 10 year hobby and passion into a business for future retirement. An existing outbuilding that was used as a hobby area was remodeled to the current wine tasting room.
The large attached building which houses the wine producing area was built with help from friends and family. As the demand for our wine grew beyond our initial expectations, by our fourth year production and sales had more than doubled! For years we had hoped to purchase additional acreage to expand our vineyard and provide a parking area for our music nights and special events.

Services
This is our 'happy place' and our secret to stress management. Eddie and Beth will make you feel like family as you enjoy a bottle of wine on the peaceful grounds. Bring a picnic and enjoy a glass of wine! I had a blast at the Pink Toad Event! I was there as a vendor (Scentsy) and had a great time chatting with the owners and costumers!
Hanover Winery specializes in handcrafted, award winning wine with an emphasis on quality. Wine at Hanover Winery are handcrafted, produced and bottled on site. We avoid using concentrates and take pride that we do not produce wine in mass volumes. Handcrafting wine enables us to keep the stabilizers and additives at a minimum.
Or choose one of our Gift Cards, available in a variety of denominations available in the Tasting Room! Gift Certificates can also be purchased over the phone with a credit card and mailed to you or the recipient. Please Note: There is a $4.00 charge to cover postage & handling if you choose to have it mailed.
Your wine tasting will include a complimentary Hanover Winery logo stemmed glass and six pours (1 oz.) of any of our available wine selections. At this time, wine tastings do not require a reservation. However, if your group is eight or more people please call or email in advance. The tasting room at Hanover Winery is a cozy space.

Great local winery. Very scenic property with several picnic tables around a lake (so relaxing). Plenty of sweet wines to try. The owner knows how to sell his product and was very accommodating on tastings. The only downside was the pizza which was at the level of a supermarket frozen one. I'd rather recommend the sampler board. I look forward to visiting again!

Was super excited about coming here after work today and trying this place, until I drove all the way out here and found out they are not kid friendly. My husband and I wanted to have a small date night with our little guy in tow, but were told it’s 21 and up. I totally get having a business where adults only can relax but please advertise this.

Past the entrance at first, but it was easy to turn around. The building is small but cozy, and the wine tasting was a good experience and well priced. We do wine trails and tastings often, and the price for a tasting was well worth it. You also get to keep the glass, which is nice. I enjoyed all the wines I tasted and so did my husband. I like sweet wines and he likes dry ones. We both had wines we liked. The bottles are also nicely priced compared to what we are used to when doing trails and tastings. I am very excited this winery is so close to home.

We stopped in on Saturday a little after 4 pm. I was excited to do a tasting and relax before their Saturday night music stuff started. (We did not want to stay for the music)
Unfortunately, even though the band wasn't even scheduled until 6, we had to pay a $5 cover, regardless if we were staying or not.
Kind of a confusing set up, as you try to find where to go to get wine. Which was around the corner at a garage door. And of course, they wouldn't allow me to do a tasting. They ended tastings at 4 because they have a band coming (at 6). Smh. I did not see this anywhere on their

We have only been here once and enjoyed ourselves. They sell wine by the bottle and glass. They also sell groups of tickets for samplers. They had several food trucks there and we had some really good pizza. There was a small group playing music. They had some seating but alot of people brought their own chairs

I've been to Hanover many times and they have so many good wines. Even though I've been several times, I almost always do a tasting because I have such a hard time deciding on a bottle for the night.
The tasting room is rather small and can get crowded at times. In the summer, you can buy a bottle and sit outside. In the winter, they open up their storage room so you can sit in there. Again, it can get rather crowded and they sometimes have live bands which makes it really loud as well.
Occasionally, they'll have a good truck come but you can always bring your own food. Something

A wonderful variety of wines for all kinds of tastes, polite and knowledgeable staff, and in a very peaceful, quaint setting. I've gone here a number of times this summer already and have enjoyed each time. I'm looking forward to checking the place out in the fall when the leaves turn colors and enjoy a bottle outside.

This has been on my list of wineries to go to. Finally my friend and I went on a Saturday early afternoon.
Hanover Winery has been in business since 2009 and located in Hamilton, Ohio outside of Cincinnati.
Beautiful view of the Ohio farm/field and you drive to the back to park. I love the tasting room. It's very cozy and decorated simple. The woman who helped us was really down to earth and knowledgeable on their wines.
The tasting is $7.00 which you choose 7 wines from the list and you get to keep their logo wine glass.
This is what I tried:
-Cabernet Sauvignon-Oak barrel aged

Let me begin by stating that before we were even officially at the tasting room, a staff person (perhaps the owner?) came out and told us "no dogs" while we were on the lawn near where we parked the car. Not only was this "policy" not posted, but this dog is also a SERVICE ANIMAL. By law, service animals must be allowed at businesses.
Rather than make a big deal about his attitude, we chose to respond with "okay" and turned around to go back to our car since we already hadn't received a warm welcome. He then continued to FOLLOW us and make comments about the

Hanover Winery really surprised me. I went out to check them out as a potential venue for a birthday party. I am not sure what I was expecting, but I was surprised. First, the property is beautiful. The winery is both an active winery and the owner's home. They have a beautiful pond and plenty of trees and shade. The grounds are well kept and maintained. The wine tasting room is upscale and more like what you would see in an upper-scale venue. The owners and their staff are polite and helpful, and they create a wonderful place to visit.
As a party venue, I think it works. We had my wife&apos
