Thank you for voting us the best local winery in San Diego. Since the mid 1990's, the family-owned winery has been dedicated to crafting balanced and elegant estate wines that reflect the terroir. These award-winning wines are putting the emerging Southern California wine region on the map (South Coast AVA).
Services
A leader in California's emerging South Coast wine region, Fallbrook Winery's 36 acres rest between the Pacific Coast and the Pala Mesa Mountains, producing the highest quality red and white varietals. The topography of the region creates an ideal microclimate, characterized by consistent and moderate temperatures throughout the growing season.
All of our staff share a passion for great wines and are committed to providing our local wines of exceptional quality at competitive prices. Rebecca "Pepper" Wood and Ira Gourvitz purchased the winery in the mid 1990s and replanted the vineyards. Pepper oversees the winery's finances while Ira's passion lies in the production and sales of award-winning wines, dating back to his experience owning a Sonoma vineyard in the 80s.

I have been to dozens of wineries and this is my favorite. Junior is the absolute best, if you want a tasting request him and you will have a great time. Every wine they make is absolutely amazing. You think you don't like a merlot? You'll like their melot. Don't like cab? You'll like their cab. Their wines are hands down the best wine I've ever had. You hate rose? You will like their estate rose, I promise. I am picky as heck and there isn't a single wine here that I dislike. I frequent the Temecula wineries and they have good wine but Fallbrook winery has better wine. I promise you, if you come

On this hot day I was delighted to taste wine in a naturally cooled Winery complete with oak barrels and dark intimate seating areas. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly. Tasted only reds. Loved the 2018 Petit Verdon and 2018 Montepulciano. Joined wine club to receive shipments 4 times a year.

Great wines. They offer white and red wines but they're known for their red wines. The sever, from this long wine list offered about 7 wines for $20 to taste. The $20 tasting fee is not waived if you buy their wines. The tasting room is quite comfortable - nice and cool. Lighting inside could be brighter to be able to see everything well. The wines are the most important after all. Taste the GSM - was very tasty. The Montepulciano tasted like vanilla with a big palate and nice finish. The Syrah was spicy and with tannins. Our server was very nice and made our wine tasting experience

Based on a recommendation from our Air BnB hosts (especially since they gave us a wonderful bottle of Fallbrook Winery wine) we decided we had to visit this winery especially since we were staying in Fallbrook. We only noticed the night before our planned visit they prefer reservations, but since we really wanted to go we called as soon as they opened to see if we could still do a tasting that day. They said sure and we were on our way. The winery is beautiful and the drive through their vineyard to get to the tasting area was spectacular. Once we figured out exactly which area was the tasting

My husband and I joined our friends for a trip to a Fallbrook. I've only driven past it, but not anymore! Our first stop was Fallbrook Winery. The staff made us feel right at home. They never hurried us and answered our questions honestly. It was impressive to watch them carry our wine tastings on the staves of wine barrels. Their wines were reasonably price and we enjoyed the taste. We had a great experience.

Ira, Pepper, and Ewan gave us the most amazing tour of their winery this week. Way off the main roads, this winery is nestled into acres of beautiful and healthy vineyards. The winery facilities are state of the art, super clean, and run by happy group of vinters. The tasting room is cave like with all the charm of a European winery. My favorite part was the wine. Each wine was excellent, my favorite was the Syrah. We all enjoyed a pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Cabernet, and Montelpuciano. Thank you all for a lovely day and taking time to show us your wonderful winery!

Fallbrook wine in my go to, every day wine. You can not beat it for taste and price. I ship it to Texas and pick it up for my place in Carlsbad. I have an extensive wine cellar with many Napa, Sonoma, and Italians wines and it seems I always open a Fallbrook. Even though it is a small tasting room I take my friends and Paula always gives them a great tasting experience. Just Great Wine!!

When you meet Ira, Pepper and Issac you realize this place is as legit as it comes. You have to call (leave a message) and plan an appointment, but it is sooo worth it! We have taken many guests there (we are local) and the time they take and the pride they display in their craft is quite refreshing. The area and tasting room is beautiful and rustic - feels like Tuscany - and the wine cave where they have their "library wines" is super cool! I have been making rounds at all the Temecula wineries for years and honestly, the reds that come out of the Fallbrook Winery set the bar mighty high. All

Absolutely fantastic vineyard and wine tasting. Hard to find the tasting room. Keep going straight once you turn at the sign, and it's on the right when the road ends. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. I've been to wineries coast to coast, and if it's not busy the tasting/tour is very personalized and informal. Definitely worth a visit!

Driving down from Orange County we stopped in Fallbrook for some wine tasting after having some of their wines at the OC wine fest earlier in the year.
Andy was in the tasting room and full of wine knowledge and good humor!
We walked away wishing we lived closer and with multiple bottles, including their BDX which is an amazing blend and must try!

Still, in my modest opinion, one of the best wines your going to find in southern California. Far out weighs Temecula wines. I would compare to wines I get from similar price point in the southern Sonoma area. For comparison I would say I like the Fallbrook BDX equall to slightly more then the Roots Run Deep's "Educated Guess", only Educated Guess is far easier to come by at stores.
I'm updating my review b/c we recently moved from California, and unfortunately cant get FW wines from a local Costco. We couldn't leave BDX or Dalla behind so we joined the wine club a few
