Marbott's Greenhouse and Nursery is a third generation family owned-and-operated local business. Established on Columbia Boulevard in Portland Oregon in 1930. WIth 8 greenhouses onsite, Marbott's is able to grow over 90% of the plants that they sell, through propagation and seed. Even though Marbott's is small in size for a growing nursery, they stay current on some of the latest technologyof nursery sales and production.

Awesome place to stop by for plant knowledge and plant shopping!! I felt welcome even though i took up a bunch of time asking about insects, plants, and fertilizer. I truly appreciate then taking the time to answer my questions and sell the the right things, not things I don't need like a general store. Highly recommend. And they have beautiful plants!!!!

I love this family owned Nursery and garden center and try to support them the most of all the many garden centers I support. They are definitely plentiful with great selections at the beginning of each season compared to the end. Like all. The staff are very knowledgeable. I’ve bought thousands of $ of plants over the years and have had great luck. They have a beautiful ground covering display too.
It’s also fun to be out in the back abs wave to a passing train!

Really, a fantastic selection of plants. Probably an incredible resource if you have a yard — lots to explore! However, living in a apartment, I explore houseplants exclusively. While they had a super nice selection, I was frustrated to find that a lot of the indoor plants weren't labeled, which is why unfortunately I left without buying anything. I could identify a lot of them on my own, but there were a few that I couldn't quite place, or didn't know the specific species, and really wish they would have identified more (all?) Of their beautiful houseplants.

Marbott's is a great family owned nursery. As with all nurseries, I come here for specific items. I buy all of my houseplants here. Many of the houseplants are grown in-house and it shows. They are sturdy and high quality and handle being transplanted very well. You will find large, beautiful species of indoor plants for a fraction of the price you would pay at Portland Nursery. They have a great selection of vegetables and I have had lots of luck with their tomatoes. They have a good selection of perennials and annuals, but tend to lean in the more traditional selection in this area.
