We will evaluate the problem area in order to identify specific structures, including myofascial trigger points (contraction knots), which are frequently at the source of pain. Dry trigger point needling is then performed in order to alleviate symptoms arising from the blockage or trigger point which, after its release, encourages good "flow" throughout the body.
Acupuncture is an ancient treatment approach that is based on keeping the flow of the body's energy, called Qi, free and uninterrupted along energy paths called meridians. When an energy path is blocked, disruptions occur. Acupuncture restores the flow of energy and balance to the body so healing can occur.
