Our Artistic Director Slawomir Woniak is well known throughout the professional ballet community all over the world. Slawomir Woniak attended the Pozna ballet school in Poland. He gained first stage experience partnering artists of Teatr Wielki in Pozna in the performances of Cinderella.
Irena Woniak has recently joined Ballet & Friends in 2007 as Ballet Mistress after retirement from a successful career as a soloist with the Warsaw National Opera House in Poland.MBA is such an Amazing studio that has brought me so much joy, progress, and many opportunities. I am so grateful for such fantastic teachers whose work ethic has improved mine and many others greatly over these past few years.

In 2007, my wife Irena, and our two sons Michael and Slawomir Jr moved from Poland to the United States and we started our ballet school - Master Ballet Academy. Miss Irena had just retired from dancing and I recently graduated from the University of Music in Warsaw.
It was a natural transition from being a Principal Dancer of Poland, and already recognized choreographer to become a teacher, and to be able to transfer our experience, knowledge and passion onto younger generations of ballet dancers.

Five stars for offering excellent extension classes to ballet curriculum; Character dance, Ballroom, Flamenco, Partnering, Contemporary, Musical Theater, Jazz, and stretch/strength class. My sons favorite classes are Character Dance with Mma. Nicole and Ballroom with Mr. Emanuel. Flamenco helps dancers with rhythmic and cultural awareness. Great people/parents there supporting their dancers growth and progress. Opportunities to perform twice a year with company members from Phoenix Ballet is also a bonus, as well as students taking classes with those same co. members. The building is beautiful
