The health and safety of our students is our number one priority. We have updated our policies and practices to ensure a safe environment for our students and their families. Rena Backer is from one of the most prestigious families in ballet history. Her ancestors defined what it means to be a ballet dancer today. With this strong history Rena is determined to bring the love of dance to anyone who wishes to learn.
Services
Ages for this class vary, depending on experience. Your child will begin to put steps together at this stage, begin to learn pirouettes and traveling steps. The Stretch and Pirouette class is offered at both intermediate and advanced level of classes. The emphasis is on flexibility and building strength for extension (lifting the legs up in the air and holding).
Student dancers, ages 6-adult, from around the valley participate in the production along with outstanding local and national professional dancers. Our 2020 performances helped M.A.M. (Military-Assistance-Mission) to collect over 1000 toys to Arizona children. Our morning performance served 1000 students in the Paradise Valley area.

Rena Backer is a wonderful ballet teacher. She is personally invested in her students and her students respect and adore her. Her teaching style focuses on technique and develops dancers with a very personal touch. We have been at the studio for nearly 10 years and I have seen how devoted she is to every level of dancer. The studio has a very warm family feel and my kids have loved it and have thrived here!
