Maple cabinets are our most popular natural wood cabinets, and for good reason. Maple is a consistent, light-grained wood and is very versatile - it has a smooth clean look when stained, and also can be painted. In fact, if you select a painted finish, we only recommend maple or Evercore cabinets. A mid-priced option, KraftMaid's line of maple cabinets includes dozens of different door styles and finishes.
Natural cherry is famous for its smooth grain and unique color that brings a warm elegance to any room. It is the most expensive of the natural wood finishes, available from KraftMaid in dozens of door styles and finishes. Often selected by clients who want a stained wood look, oak cabinets are our most economical choice in natural wood cabinets. The wood grain is heavier and more noticeable than on maple cabinets, so oak is a better choice for stained finishes than painted finishes. If you are interested in a more rustic look, we recommend alder cabinets or hickory cabinets.
Alder is a relatively recent addition to the mix as far as cabinetry goes. It started being used for furniture in the midwest in the early 2000's, and has grown in popularity ever since. Alder is a very hard wood with a tight grain. It is quite knotty, providing a rustic look, and equivalent in pricing to cherry.

Paul at Bella Casa did some cabinet changes to our Kraftmaid kitchen cabinets. The work was complicated as it included changing shelves to trash receptacles and drawers. He was able to deliver the changes and the new ones blended very well with our existing cabinetry. We are very happy to have worked with Paul and highly recommend his company for any new or refitting of kitchen cabinets. He is very professional and his prices are reasonable.

Due to a flood we had to replace our bathroom vanity. Bella Casa had put our old vanity in and also installed our new one which we couldn’t be happier with. We remodeled our kitchen. The owner-Paul came to measure and provided several great suggestions to increase storage space. The showroom helped to give us ideas of how things would look and how things would work such as the drawers and soft close hinges.Bill was very helpful in helping with selection of type and color of cabinets. When installing the new cabinets they were very cautious about our existing granite countertop. All of the workers including Paul were polite, friendly, professional and excellent craftsmen.
