At The Upper Hand Day Spa we only use and retail the highest of quality products for our services. Our skin care department use's and recommend's Dermalogica, Pevonia and Glo Skin Beauty. All three of these lines incorporate the benefits of botanicals and science, are Paraben Free and contain no artifical color's or fragrance.
Phylliss Shrader, owner and active service provider of The Upper Hand Day Spa, has been a Master Cosmetologist since 1984. She graduated from the Echevarria Institute of Cosmetology in Atlanta, GA. Phylliss specializes in aesthetics, lash extensions and the care of the hands and feet. As a Master Aesthetician she has vast experience in skin care & rejuvenation treatments including: Dermaplaning, Microneedling and Plasma Skin Tightening.
Gina Kim hails from Covington, Georgia and has been a team member, at The Upper Hand Day Spa, since September of 2016. She graduated from the Georgia Career Institute, to become a state licensed Nail Technician. One of her specialties is the Gel Powder Dipping System, known by many as: SNS Gel Powder Dipping Service, not to mention her amazing Pedicure Services.
Many individuals today are seeking to correct and improve their overall appearance through the help of non-invasive procedures. What is a non-invasive procedure? It's any cosmetic procedure that improves and corrects a skin concern and allows an individual to maintain their normal lifestyle; with little, to no serious, down time.

Hubby gifted me a certificate to this location Christmas 2020. With COVID, I just got a chance to cash in. OMG, I am so glad I finally did. I am hooked!! I did the 30 min Sauna followed by a one-hour Deep Tissue Massage. It was phenomenal.
Fantastic staff, super clean location and just what I needed to release stress. I am already booked for my next visit. Can't wait. I'd rather keep this a secret but that would be selfish! Lol

Awesome massages by Alexis and Ashley. I had a stiff neck and shoulder and Alexis knew exactly what to do to relieve the pain and increase my range of motion. My husband had a great massage by Ashley. These ladies were very professional and both have healing hands!

I am addicted to the Sticks and Stones Massage with Ashley. I have had many styles before and this is the most relaxing and invigorating treatment I have ever had. The hot stones relax my muscles. The sticks stretch them and smooth out the knots and Ashley's hands are experts at finding the areas that need the most attention. The combination is amazing and the results are long-lasting. 90 mins is perfect for me.

My experience was amazing. My massage therapist, Alexus was professional made me feel comfortable and safe. She allowed me to relax while also gaining insight on the quality of skin and how to keep mine hydrated. I am pregnant with my first child, and going to see Ashley for prenantal massages has been one of my favorite things about this pregnancy. She is so wonderful at what she does, from making sure you are comfortable and safely positioned, to communicating about how you are feeling with your body, and overall just making sure you leave feeling better than you did when you arrived. I cannot recommend her enough.

Love everything about this place. The services, courteous and friendly staff, excellent customer service, peaceful, clean, relaxing atmosphere, array of service offerings, reasonable prices and the precautionary measures in place due to the pandemic.
My last visit was for a gel pedicure. It was done perfectly and 10 days later, they it looks like it was done yesterday.
You cannot beat this place.

Fantastic massage! I scheduled for a 120 minute muscle melt massage and was not disappointed. I was a little nervous as David was my massage therapist and being he was quite a bit bigger than me I thought this might be a little rough. I couldn't have been more wrong. He provided the perfect amount of pressure and relieved some issues in my back I've had for years. He was the first massage therapist I've ever had that had me go nowhere for a few minutes, I was so relaxed I was forgetting to breathe.

All the technicians are licensed and trained extensively in many different types of services. It's nice knowing that you're in good hands when you walk through the door. Brought my mother here for here birthday, Mani pedi. Preface this review by saying I don't have much experience with this sort of service. I liked their online booking and you get instant email confirmations with a file type you can save to your calendar. Their customer service was top notch and they have a very active social presence.
This place is back in the cut! But it kinda aids in the relaxation and tranquility. The technicians are friendly and helpful and the environment is full on relaxation.

I only have two negative things to say about the Upper Hand, when I arrived at the spa and was filling out paperwork one of the employees brought her dog into the spa. I found this to be extremely unprofessional and honestly not a place for a dog to be. I am a dog lover, I have two of my own but I do not find a dog in a place of business such as a spa to be clean or professional. Also, while I was being massaged there was a lot of background noise, it made the experience hard to relax when you could hear everyone stomping around and carrying on noisy conversations of their own.

The worst massage ever! I did a prenatal massage (my first btw) today with Chasity at this spa. On the form, I specifically wrote that my problem areas were my upper back and my shoulders. Chasity never went over my form prior to the massage to ask whether I wanted to spend more times on these areas, nor did she ask me the level of pressure that I wanted for my massage. During my massage, she never massaged my shoulders and her pressure was so light it was as if she was doing nothing. After the massage, she just told me it was over and left. She never told me about the massage, any problem areas

I love this Spa! An excellent hidden treasure in Conyers. Excellent upgrades, the spa is beautiful. Chasity is my massage therapists, she does an exceptional job with the hot river stones. Phyllis is wonderful, she is always pleasant and has created such a wonderful and relaxing retreat for the clients of the Upper Hand Spa.

Josh was awesome! I had the deep tissue massage and the foot reflexology. He's only there on Wednesdays, however he's worth waiting for. He wasn't talkative at all and I loved that! The Owner booked me on the same day two hours before my appointment. I'm definitely going back and I'm telling my friends about it!

This was by far the WORST nail salon I've ever been to. Everyone pretended to know the process of the application I normally get on my nails, but the finished product did not come close to the application. I had to get my nails done over by them first, which was worst than the first time, then had to spend $35 to get it done right by someone else. I will NEVER visit this shop again. EVER!!!

I was able to get a same-day appointment. I received a 1 hour massage from Katherine. I went in with knots in my neck and shoulders. I left feeling much more relaxed and in less pain. I'm looking forward to my next appointment. I have already recommended the Upper Hand Day spa to several people and will continue to do so!

Rebecca is Unreal. If you like a good Deep Tissue massage see her. I'm very picky. Had 100s of massages in LA and Miami and Rebecca is one of the best I have ever encountered.
Chastity is another great LMT there as well.
But Rebecca IS the real deal.
Cant wait for my next appointment.

Pedicure with Lisa, one of the best pedicures ever. I used to be a nail tech myself so I know a good one when it happens! Very clean, uses great quality products. Also I love the merchandise that Phylliss has, great skincare line and beautiful candles are my favorite. I will absolutely be back as well as tell friends and family about this place.
