Services
1. Positive Reflex Development beginning with the practice of martial arts. Students learn the process of intentionally creating powerful automatic responses, both physical and mental, through conscious repetition. 4. The pursuit of Self Development through the challenges of physical discipline and skill development.
Jiu Jitsu, like nature, is all about the conservation of energy. In Jiu Jitsu 'efficiency' means using only as little strength and power as is required to accomplish your objectives. It means economy of motion - eliminating wasted movements and effort. Jiu Jitsu is learning to flow. Flow with an opponent, flow with life.
The Lions Brazilian Jiu Jitsu program at SOLFLO is the one of the BEST things you can do for your child. BJJ provides so MANY benefits for kids, but perhaps most importantly, it provides a solid foundation for future success in ALL aspects of life. By instilling a strong sense of commitment and self-confidence, your child will learn how to overcome the challenges and obstacles life can bring.

I've been training here for a couple of years and I've been impressed from the beginning with the quality of instruction. It's obvious that the owners, Ryan and Erica Walden, take a lot of pride in the quality of the programs at the school that they founded. In addition to being excellent teachers, they are both strong competitors and they regularly bring insights from their competition experience into the classes.
This is also a very supportive environment in which all of the students, especially the upper belts, help each other improve our skills in jiu jitsu techniques and do better in competitions

My name is Rory Barrett, I have trained at SOLFLO Jiu-jitsu for the past 5 1/2 years. A friend of mine had started training at SOLFLO and recommended that I try Jiu-jitsu as they had nice facilities including changing rooms, men's and women's bathrooms, clean mats and great instruction. Jennifer and I still train together at SOLFLO today!
Prior to joining SOLFLO I had done Kenpo karate for about 5 years and I weighed 177 lbs., I was 43 years old and I thought that I was fit! After about 2 years of Jiu-jitsu I weighed 162 lbs. and had built up enough fitness to go to SOLFLO 4-5 times a week, also

I have thoroughly enjoyed learning the basics of BJJ at Solflo. I showed up having only taken one class prior and the team took care of me totally (providing a gi and answering questions constantly). Everyone is very friendly and the instruction is clear and fun. I enjoyed the 'core' and 'womens' classes immensely. The community is very welcoming and I learned a lot in a short period of time while I was visiting Louisville. I recommend classes here and I will definately be popping in again the next time I visit. Thank you Solflo BJJ 🙏

I’ve trained at a handful of studios in a couple different states and only made it 6 months tops before quitting. Whether it was a combative approach to teaching, drama within the school, or injury, there were always factors that began making me question if I was looking for something that didn’t exist in a martial arts school - or if I just didn’t have what it took to be a practitioner of BJJ. My desire was there, but a studio with the right fit seemed to elude me.
Then I walked into SolFlo…
Coach Erica Walden spent almost an hour on the phone with me listening to the challenges I’ve

I couldn't be happier with what I'm learning at RFLX. I'm 38 and before joining I had never done any contact sports or martial arts (except for a few karate classes as a kid) so I didn't know what to expect. The classes are highly structured and they focus on repetition and getting the technical details right which great for a beginner like me. Each week has a theme so if you can go multiple times a week you get to really learn each technique.
They also make great use of technology - sending videos before each week so you know what to expect. They progress you slowly and in a measured way, keeping

I've been training at RFLX for 8 months now. Prior to coming here, I had trained for 2 years out of state.
First off, Professor Ryan and his coaches are truly dedicated to Jiu Jitsu but, more importantly, to teaching. I have been impressed with the clear curriculum that emphasizes fundamentals and concepts. All the coaches align their teaching each week to Ryan's curriculum so that as a student you know what topic you're learning regardless of when you attend classes. Ryan even sends a weekly email with the curriculum being covered and videos of him teaching; you can preview before

Incredible for all ages and abilities. I have had my son test the waters in several martial arts and this training center is far and above anything we've experienced. Whether you are a serious MMA athlete or youth beginner class - you will be challenged. The owner is technical, knowledgeable and personable. I could write paragraphs on the changes it has made in my little boy's life. It's the hidden gem of Lafayette that is quickly gaining a following of parents who want real emotional/physical/mental positive changes in their children.
