Our state-of-the-art class IV laser is utilized by numerous NBA, NHL, and MLB teams. Laser therapy has been shown to quicken the healing process of injured tissues, promote recovery, increase blood flow and dampen nerve pain. It has benefit for both acute and chronic injuries, regardless of severity.
I am a Montana native and graduated from Montana State University with a BS in Microbiology. At MSU I competed for the NCAA Bobcats cross country and track teams. I completed a CLS internship at UCLA and worked in a trauma center as a CLS for 5 years before attending Physical Therapy school at California State University Long Beach where I graduated in 1997.
Born and raised in Orange County, I am the only child of two humble parents originating from Ohio. Always fascinated by socio-cultural traditions, I pursued my love for studying other cultures while attending UCI, graduating with a BA in Anthropology, alongside a minor in Digital Arts. One of my best memories while attending university was creating photography in the dark room for up to eight hours or more a day.

John and his friendly and extremely competent team at LOR were key in helping me recover successfully from 5 major orthopedic surgeries I undertook during 2020, 2021 and 2022. He and his team went above and beyond in creatively ensuring I received the proper and timely rehabilitation I required during the early phases of the COVID epidemic in 2020. That care and consideration continued into 2021 and 2022 as well. I have gone to Laguna Orthopedic Rehab for over two years for various issues and always requested and been treated by Kendra Cornelius and her assistants. Kendra is a highly competent professional. She knows what needs to be done, adjusts the strength of the treatment to my physical needs, and is respectful and kind. So are her assistants. Previously, I'd gone to another rehab place, and there is no comparison! I'll stay with Kendra whenever I need help. LORPT receptionists are friendly and highly reliable and provide a good atmosphere before I start each session.

I know Drs. John and Julie Thomas well. I know the staff pretty well. Dr's. Julie and John are exemplary in thier skill set with the practice of physical therapy. I know them also as extremely kind Christian folk that are family values based. I was injured in a few ways. Clearly, I have improved 10 fold. They have a full facility that offers a broad range of treatments. You should seek them out for your treatment needs. As you get older you see more doctors and physical therapists. I’ve been to many and LOR is the most professional, knowledgeable with clean modern rooms. Some of my old therapists seemed to only know one cure of light massage and heat, thank you and send in your insurance payment. LOR focused on my specific problem and provided therapy and coaching specific to what was wrong. Even their assistants are a step above other clinics I’ve been to. I normally see Tara but when not available I have seen other therapists at LOR and they all seem to have the same high quality of treatment.

LORPT is simply the best place for physical therapy. I’ve been a patient there 3 times and each time I’ve gotten compassionate care and a complete resolution to my medical problem. All the therapists are fantastic, especially Teri and Julie. I’ve worked with Teri twice now and wouldn’t hesitate to return to her again!

I have been to LOR in the past...a great, professional and friendly place to do rehab! I am presently working with Kendra... She's very professional and easy to be around and talk to. She thoroughly takes in what I'm saying and is knowledgeable with her responses regarding my injury. She customizes each visit, depending on how I'm feeling in response to exercises I have been given to do at home as well as at LOR. I feel confident, as I have in the past, by the time I'm through with PT at LOR, I'll be up and running back to my normal lifestyle!

My son experienced an injury during his football season. John provided excellent treatment that has allowed him to fully recover quickly and he is able successfully participate in the remaining portion of the football season. They also offer appointments as early as 6am so he didn’t have to miss school which was a bonus. I’d highly recommend PT at LOR as I’m impressed with many of the therapist.
