Welcome to the website for The Lady Killigrew, a cafe and pub housed in the Montague Bookmill next to a waterfall in beautiful Montague, Massachusetts. After briefly pausing service for the safety of our staff and community, we're thrilled to be back. We'd love for you to stop by for some takeout food, an ice-cold nitro cold brew coffee, or a couple of canned beers.
We are currently offering breakfast sandwiches, bagels, toast, pressed sandwiches made on locally baked sourdough bread, fresh salads, flavorful peanut noodles, baked goods, and more. Currently brewing fresh, hot coffee with beans from Share Roasters in Hadley, Massachusetts, as well as serving our signature nitro cold brew, iced teas, plus bottled beer, wine, and cider.

Another business resting on its laurels. A beautiful location for sure. The menu is very limited here, so keep that in mind. The food is just OK but pricey for what it is. But The Lady Killigrew is in need of some management changes. When it's busy (for here) service is incredibly slow. There was a 20 minute wait to get into the cafe to order, and then we waited nearly an hour for our food. A simple bagel, a simple grilled sandwich, and a simple bowl of noodles. Why so long? The cafe next door was unexpectedly closed (our original destination), and we were warned that food would take 45 minutes

I think the Lady Killigrew was once much better than it is now, I seem to remember it being a bar, where one could get drinks. Now it seems they call it a cafe, but it is hardly a cafe. They offer coffee but it may be burnt. They offer bagels and two flavors: plain and everything, but the everything bagel is severely lacking. I ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese and kielbasa, and it cost $3.25. My daughter had trouble deciding and ended up getting a grilled cheese sandwich she really didn't like. There was so much cheese it kind of made her ill, and the salad that came with it was rather

Beautiful establishment. While the menu is slightly limited, the food is extremely delicious! The cafe is beautiful and the open windows with the slight river breeze and rushing water noises make it the perfect spot to get some work done or have a breakfast alone to reflect. The coffee was great and overall it was a wonderful experience.

Riverfront dining in Pioneer Valley! Come here for a drink (beer, wine, cider, soda, tea, or coffee) and a snack or sandwich and enjoy the view or a book from next door. The dining area overlooks the river, and it is absolutely beautiful throughout the year. This cozy place gets pretty crowded, so you might have to wait 5-10 minutes for a seat, depending on the size of your party.
