Strong collaboration with Verona Area School District and the Verona community since 1972. In many child care centers, school-age children are an afterthought. At The Caring Center, we devote an entire building to C.C.'s Clubhouse, a premier after school program and summer camp. Children from kindergarten through age 12 have their own cozy "clubhouse".
C.C.'s Clubhouse is a place to explore art, develop friendships, express themselves at the Lego table, practice cooking skills, or get active in the gym or outdoor-shaded playground. C.C's Clubhouse features foosball, Wii sports, a computer lab, community-service projects, and a parent favorite - homework club!

The Caring Center was founded by Thelma Peters, a third-grade teacher from Verona; and Diane Peters, then a senior education major at the University of Wisconsin. In 1982, Diane Peters took over as director of Happy Day Nursery. The next year, the need became apparent for a full-time child care center and a facility that could accommodate this growth.
We offer children more than daycare centers can. Our facility provides children with fun, safe, entertaining and educational enrichment programs in which they can play, learn and grow. Meet our well-trained teachers and learn what they can offer your children. Regina is the administrator of The Caring Center and has been on staff since 1987.

My daughter had been kicked out of her previous daycare for struggles with napping and "disruptive" behavior. When we chose The Caring Center, we were scared and worried if my daughter would fit in since she is a wild child. It definitely was a rough few weeks for everyone involved but all of the staff were so supportive and patient with my daughter to help her get adjusted. I would never trust any other childcare center with my daughter than with this Center. She gets so excited to see everyone everyday and just blossomed with all the support. My daughter has ASD and the staff were so involved

When checking around for a place for my child to go to preschool a couple years ago I met with a few different places before making a final decision. But I knew The Caring Center was the one after taking the tour and meeting with Regina. My child ended up going there until having to start public school. It was a great experience for him. He loved going and seeing his friends and teachers. All of the staff, teachers, assistants and front office were wonderful, and they do a great job with different activities as well as keeping the facility clean. I would highly recommend.

The caring center is the only day care we've had our son in, and it's the only one we've needed. We started there when he turned 2, and he is about to turn 8 and still attends after school programs.
It is a Christian daycare but does not proselytize, it simply incorporates good values. It stays up to date with teaching styles, especially since it became one of several daycares in the area to partner with the school district in hosting 4k.
One year, our son was having some struggles, and we looked around at alternatives but decided to instead switch him to the montessori program

I cannot say enough how wonderful the staff is at the Caring Center. Our children have both attended the Verona Montessori House. The teachers there are so gentle and kind. We feel that sending our children to this preschool was the one of the very best decisions we have ever made as parents. We appreciate greatly the focus on learning about other cultures and countries, the peaceful approach to resolving conflicts, and the independence this program promotes. Our children have both thrived there and we feel so blessed because of that.
