Services
Interior design is the art or job of planning how a room or building should be furnished or decorated. That's what a good interior designer or decorator actually does for you. We first of all LISTEN to the client, and the client's idea of the "stage to be created." We make notes and start to envision the space.
I have been an interior designer my whole life. Want to hear a story of my first designs? Coloring books, Play-Doh and buttons were my humble beginnings. I found myself being creative even with the coloring books. The dress could not be just a solid color, perhaps I could make it striped or plaid. AND how many colors can you make mixing Play-Doh?
Residential Interior Design is the heart and soul of my business. And the heart and soul of your home is the space which is most important to you. That is the space we want to start designing or redesigning first. For some, this may be the family room and kitchen because that is where everyone congregates.
In need of furniture, rugs, lighting or accessories? You need my help. I have a small shop area at 120 South Churton Street, Hillsborough. Featured there will be a few vignettes. Usually there are 6 - 12 different styles of lamps/lighting along with art, mirrors, rug samples, a few accessories and wallpaper books.
SIMPLE window styles! The first one is a pleated valance created with an upward point in the center which has been accessorized with soft colored tieback cords draped across it. It is board mounted and clean and simple in style. It was used in a sitting area of a master bedroom. The second one is. White mantle, white framed art and white crown moldings all work together to make a bold statement with a pale citrus wall tone.
