D. conducts cognitive assessments of children and adults who have difficulties learning and who may struggle with aspects of everyday functioning. Parents are often the first to notice learning differences in a child. A person's learning profile is unique. No single symptom is common to all indviduals with learning difficulties.
While one person may have problems with language-based tasks such as reading and writing, another may have problems with processing speed and visual-spatial skills. A cognitive evaluation can provide important information regarding a person's strengths and areas of need. With this additional information, families and school systems are better equipped to help a person reach their full potential.

Services
Counseling for adults with learning disabilities and for parents of children of learning differences. IFS is an experiential, non-pathologizing approach to therapy that allows clients to explore their inner lives gently and respectfully.

Since graduating from high school, she has completed her A.S. degree and is preparing to continue her study of early childhood education at a nearby college. None of this would have been possible without your insight and assistance.
