This little market really saved my day when I needed stuff and didn't have time to go to Hmart. Coming from the Bay Area and LA where we always lived a few minutes away from Asian markets, I'm glad this market is so close to me where I can get things in a bind. I was actually making California rolls and really needed some kewpie mayo and imitation crab and this place had both! I also got some of the sweetest purple yam from here and they were so good!!

I have since tried their online ordering and it's great for getting me all the items I was looking for. They even deliver for free if you spend over $50. I've actually been wanting to order from them again but it seems their online order link is broken.

I went there to pick up my Wish items & they were very sweet! Anytime I am in the area I just might pop in for a hello and what's on sale? Lol.

They even have a small stand with some very delicious Taiwanese baked breads from one of favorite bakeries from LA!!!!! SO COOL!!!!
I LOVE how they prepackage all the fresh delicious vegetables here. Just pick up the mushrooms, green onions, chives that I needed and go! What a super simple solution given the current times we live in!
They have a great selection of high-quality ingredients, and the usual spices you can find at like 99 ranch; but do come here for the fresh veggies and mushrooms!

Came in to buy multiple snacks for friends and was not offered a bag, the customer in front of me bought one small ice cream and was offered a bag. Even when I dropped the snacks on the counter was offered no bag. The difference? Don't shop here the lady that rang me up had no common sense.

I love this place! It's been especially heaven-sent since covid, to be able to get contact-less curbside pickups of my Asian groceries. They are friendly and helpful and they have an amazing supply of all my favorite Asian staples, groceries, and goodies that I can't believe they can fit so much in that small store, but they have it! I am thrilled to be able to get everything I need while supporting small/local businesses during the pandemic and the prices are very reasonable and the veggies and fruits are always exceptionally fresh and huge notches above what you can get from Ranch 99

Very conveniently located close to home. 5 minutes is better than having to drive to H-Mart for 30-40 mins for 1 or 2 Asian ingredients. Friendly customer service and fair prices. Also, it’s a local business so let’s support it!

It's a little smaller, but they ended up having some of the wierd things I needed for a dish I made.
Impressed with their stock regardless of the size.

This is a cozy little market with friendly service. My 3 year old son has been stuck on this Korean beef rice (Gyu Don) lately. Fortunately this market has it in stock. They have enough essential Asian ingredients to hold us down before we make that 35 min. drive to Kearney Mesa. The owner has been so sweet and caring to us. Makes us want to keep supporting this small business. So grateful to have this gem in San Marcos.

Love this asian market! Has great popular asian snack selections! They even have multiple DIY boba kits (boba/tapioca pearls and flavored milk tea powder). Friendly staff/owner.

Gloves and sanitizer at the door and they have a limit as to how many customers in the store. Small little Asian grocery store to meet some of our immediate needs during this time. Thanks for staying open.

Has decent selection for such a tiny shop. I will be back again because it's very convenient so I don't have to drive all the way to San Diego just for Japanese goods. I like it a lot. Stay in business forever please thank you.

Small place that has the essentials....they also make prepacked meals that you can get which have all ingredients to make dinner at home. I tried the Tonkatsu Ramen meal for two....they also provide the instructions for preparing. The ramen was very good and it came with everything...soup base, noodles, pork chashu, cabbage, corn, green onion....tasted great! It's a small store so they probably don't yet have everything but they have the basics plus....it's certainly going to be a convenient place when you need something. Friendly staff and clean place with plenty of parking.

Wow! So happy I found this place. I've been driving from Vista down to Kearney Mesa to get the items I need for true Asian cooking. I saw another Yelper day she saved an hour going down there and I was hopeful....wow again. I wanted to make Dan Dan noodles for the first time, lots of ingredients you can't get anywhere outside of a true Asian marketplace. I was hoping for half or make, then thinking I had to head down south. Nope! Had them all :)

Asian 101 used to be a Filipino only market but now it has expanded to include other Asian products. Although it's a small place, it does have a very good selection of products and all the favorites.

But the best thing about 101 is that they have packaged foods you can prepare at home. The Pad Thai is AWESOME! Fresh veggies, fresh noodles, fresh sauce...easy to prepare and excellent! Would definitely recommended picking one up although it might seem pricey at $14.95 it fed two of us just fine!

It's a small market thus the selection ain't large but they actually sale every single basic ingredient I need (mainly spices, chili, noodles, rice and sauces...) for cooking asian food at home.
Since I live in vista, I now dont have to drive an hour to go down to Miramar to larger Asian supermarkets! Lot of time and gas savings.

I decided to pop in when I happened to be in the area and was disappointed to see the scarce quality items.

What really caused me to walk right out the door without buying anything was see a few expired items in their refrigerated section.

So much packed into this little market. All of the top brands needed to make great authentic Asian meals. Their meal kits are also really fun. My favorite is the Pork Belly Ramen. Super easy with great flavor. All of the staff are super friendly and helpful. If you're driving all the way down to Convoy to get your Asian ingredients, check out Asian 101 first.

Great selections of asian ingredients and spices. Excellent and friendly customer service! They have prepared asian dishes that you can make at home easily, we tried ramen and Korean bulgogi and Japanese fried noodles, all tasted great like you eat in a restaurant but cheaper and fun to make them at home yourself. Also, you can buy Thai tea and bubba so you make your own milk tea or bubba tea, I love it!

There's a limited amount of asian markets in North County so with this place opening up, it really helps when you need to get products from a specialty store. This asian market may be a bit small, but overall, they carry the basics that are needed in most asian cooking. I do wish they had a bit more produce but again, the manager told me that if I want them to order me anything, to let them know, so I think that helps.

My daughters were able to get a handful of treats that I grew up with, so I really liked that. The place is also really clean and organized, so I hope they keep up the great
