When it comes to your final arrangements, shouldn't you make the decisions? The arrangements you make will reflect your exact wishes and desires. Pre-arranging your own service will help to ease the burden of your loved ones. It will also alleviate any questions, problems or differences, which can occur among family members.
Meaningful memorialization of a loved one's passing can transform, heal, and comfort us. It highlights our loved ones' sacrifices, reminds us of the things that they value, and inspires us with their life stories. Have the Talk of a Lifetime, a program created by The Funeral and Memorial Information Council, was designed to help families have meaningful conversations about the things that matter most in their lives.

I loved my experience with Rice Funeral Home. My husband and I had a prepaid plan and they took care of everything. Pictures for the video were sent to them from my phone and they arranged the military service for my husband. Best people EVER during your time of sadness.

Their name is misleading. They send bodies out to a crematorium. I paid $1700 more by using Rice, who is just a middle man. Rice simply sold me a $145 paper box for the cremains and handed them to me. That’s it. I’m sure this is common practice by funeral homes and I learned the hard way. Now I know just deal directly with the crematorium.

I called the insurance company who disclosed that the cost of Rice was more than other funeral homes but was within the range they could legally charge. They embalmed my father twice once before the autopsy and again after, which was an additional $1100. I spoke with the Illinois funeral
