The Ring Of Hope Boxing Club has been an absolute blessing, especially during the times we are in. My 13 year old son has been able to participate in a sport he loves and learn from professional coaches who nurture his passion for boxing while in their care. Coach Vince Kittle opened his first boxing gym Ring of Hope Boxing Club in 2004 as a safe haven for young people, especially high school students in Albany and Schenectady, New York.

Ring of Hope Boxing Club sponsors an after school and recreational program that offers a safe haven and supportive environment for inner-city disadvantaged youth and young adults. Boxing is a total-body workout that helps achieve a number of fitness goals, from cardiovascular health to weight loss to improved balance, strength and agility.
Services
Coach Vince Kittle opened his first boxing gym in 2004 as a safe haven for young people, especially high school students in Albany and Schenectady, NY. The U.S. Marine Corps Boxing Hall of Fame champion, recognized the need for an outlet -- a club -- that offered an alternative to street gangs. Many of the young people we serve are at risk just by virtue of the fact that they live in difficult circumstances.
The Ring of Hope Boxing Club sponsors afternoon programs that offer a safe haven and supportive environment for inner city youth and young adults. The program uses boxing and physical exercise as an alternative to drug use and gang involvement and creates a positive support system for young people through physical training, coaching, mentoring and social support.
Boxing is a total-body workout that helps achieve a number of fitness goals, from cardiovascular health to weight loss to improved balance, strength and agility. Most of all, it is exhilarating and fun! Based on a set of physical and mental skills that combine to test personal courage, physical endurance and mental focus, boxing is mentally and physically challenging - and a great workout!
For as little as $2.60 a day you can support a student in need of guidance, a need for moral and emotional support. Thank you for your interest in supporting the Schenectady Ring of Hope Boxing Club. As a Not For Profit organization, we are supported mainly through grants and donations. Your contribution will help to cover the cost of equipment upkeep and updates, utilities, event expenses, supplies, etc.

The name says it all.....My son's loves this place, and they are good with the children. I appreciate the time they offer the kiddos and the dedication!!
They offer classes for just about everyone in the family except children under 8. The coaches treat them with, love and respect and they reprimand then (in a positive way) when needed.
I am so glad someone recommended this place to me!

I visited Ring of Hope last summer with the intention of wanting to get my son involved in boxing. He was being bullied at a previous school, and although we changed his school upon finding out, I wanted to equip him with tools to defend himself. Little did I know, this place would turn into something my whole family has been able to enjoy.
There is a Kajukenbo (self defense) class 3 times a week that my husband, daughter and myself have participated in while my son has learned to box. There is also a youth summer program, open gym and sparring matches on Saturdays.
