Nahid "Shihan" Farzinzad is an Avon resident and a native of Iran, owner of Shihan's Day Spa, whose mission is to improve and maintain skin health. Her professional education of aesthetics stems from the love of beauty since she was a young girl. Her second love is karate where she earned her sixth-degree black belt in karate, which gives her the title of Shihan; thus the name she goes by, and the name of her business.

I went to Shihan about a year ago for microblading removal using the saline tattoo removal system Botched Ink. I chose her because I thought she was a professional and therefore would minimize the risks of the procedure. Unfortunately, Shihan went too deep with the treatment which resulted in permanent scarring and hair loss of my eyebrows where the treatment was done. I initially thought it was just post-inflammatory erythema, but now more than a year later my scars are still red and the skin is indented where the procedure was done. I get eyebrow microblading + inbetween threading with Shihan and it’s made a huge difference in my overall look. Shihan always did a great job threading my natural brows, but mine were always bit thin, sparse, and short which I never liked. I’d always been curious but scared to try microblading but I did it about a year ago with her and don’t regret it at all. I now have longer, fuller, nicely shaped brows that look 100% natural. She is super sweet and a true professional! She also does my daughters eyebrows (threading only) and the results are always awesome.

I got my eyebrows micro bladed for the first time and I had a great experience with Shihan. She's so amazing and loves her work. It was very painful but we stopped to reapply numbing cream when she could tell the pain was bothering my. Everything she did to my eyebrows enhanced everything I already had like the color and shape. It looks so perfect and natural at the end of the session. Went back for my touch a few weeks after and it was the same amazing service.

I have had my eyebrow threaded there x2. I had stopped in on a whim cause I was in the area visiting my sister the first time and now I am hooked.
She has helped me equal out my eyebrows and they were a messsss!
I love them, her, her technique, professionalism and kindness so much. I now drive 35 mins to get them done. A costumer for life.

My daughter needed a last minute brow and lip cleanup for Prom. She didn't want to wax because it makes her face red and breakout so we decided to try threading since it's supposed to be gentler. We were able to book an appt online for the next morning! It's a small place but very soothing and classy. Clean, muted tones, soft music and polite staff. The owner did my daughters brows and was very nice and easy to talk with. She even zapped a pimple she had on her nose so it would reduce in size faster and be less irritated for prom. The brows and lip came out great and was done quick

I have gotten my eyelashes tinted, eyebrows threaded, and have had 2 facials with Shihan. All were very good experiences and she has such attention to detail it's insane. My face has never been clearer and I haven't been makeup free and confident in such a long time! Highly recommend her! The facility is always clear and service is always friendly and helpful!

Shihan is wonderful at doing eyelash extensions. My makeup artist suggested I get them for my wedding and Shihan's work was flawless. It took about an hour (maybe a little longer), but they looked amazing in my wedding photos and I needed a lot less eye makeup with them on. It's not cheap, but definitely worth it for a wedding or big event.

A few months ago I scheduled an appt and received a call to change the time- no problem. 5 min before the appt I called to let them know that I would be 5min late on acct of the accident on Rt44. No answer. Arrived to the place 5min after the spot w 25 min left before closing. Doors locked. No sign on the door saying they closed early. The advertisements near the door and on the website said different hours.
