Services
Kiwanis Camp WA-RI-KI is a natural forested environment for educational and physical recreational programs for children, families, community and church groups. Our Mission Statement: Our non-profit is committed to providing an outdoor experience that offers optimal child development and community growth through recreational, educational and leadership opportunities.
The camp's grounds were used as an Honor Camp for inmates of the Larch Mountain Honor Camp after it was built in the 1950s and into the 1960s. In 1973, the grounds were turned over the Kiwanis organization to run a camp serving children with special needs, as well as the elderly. Over the years it has transformed into an outdoor school setting where many local school districts utilized the facilities.
Southwest Washington Kiwanis Clubs work together to support Camp Wa-Ri-Ki and fulfill the Kiwanis mission of helping special needs and children at risk in our local area. Your involvement as Camp Alumni Association members, Donors, a Kiwanis Club member, a Board member for the Camp and more help us to help children in our community!
Sustained Giving Members Needed! - We're celebrating 56 years since opening. Now you can help us add amenities (new playground, new archery course); do maintenance (kitchen upgrades, septic fields repair); and get set for a bright future (we're planning a major construction project for a new dining hall meeting lodge).
We have a lot in common with our program sponsor, The Human Bean. They rely on the health of the world's rain forests to grow and produce wonderful, sustainable coffee beans. We also rely on forest health to deliver programs to youth and adults to teach them how to be good stewards of our environment.

We had our September wedding at Camp WA-RI-KI and it was everything we could have imagined and more! A large part of that was working with the amazing staff at camp. Our out of town friends were able to stay in the dorms or private rooms. Grandparents stayed in the apartments. Our caterer was able to use the commercial kitchen to keep food fresh. There were plenty of restrooms for all 140 guests. Photos in front of the river were beautiful.
Just before the wedding, camp staff Autumn and Geoff did everything they could to make the grounds as beautiful as could be for our day. They allowed us to

We have gone to the summer days day camps for 2 years in a row and they are great!! Everyone is really friendly and the activities are awesome!! We love all the activities but our favorites are the firetruck & firemen and Mr. Lizards mobile zoo!! The drive up is beautiful and so is the camp itself, very well cared for. There is no cell phone service up there either so it makes it really easy to "disconnect" while you enjoy nature.
