Services
Hello and welcome to the Betsy-Jeff Penn 4-H Educational Center! We're thrilled that you've found your way to us. Whether you're a parent sending your child for summer camp, a teacher looking for new hands-on learning opportunities, or a group looking for a place to retreat, you've found a phenomenal facility with an excellent staff committed to making your stay with us the best experience possible.
Campers, school and retreat groups sleep in chalet-style two-story cabins with single-sex living quarters and multiple indoor showers and restroom facilities. Each cabin houses up to 26 participants with at least three counselors per cabin to provide steady and safe supervision during summer camp. School groups provide their own cabin supervision.
Betsy-Jeff Penn 4-H Educational Center is managed by a full-time, permanent staff that includes the Center Director, Summer Camp Director, Education Director, Food Services Director, and two Maintenance Supervisors. The center also hires up to 60 seasonal staff through-out the year for summer camp and school programming.
Beginning with a 'welcome to camp' opening ceremony on Sunday and concluding with an awards ceremony on Friday, our six-day sleepaway summer camp program sends campers home with memories and friendships that will last a lifetime! Campers are placed into co-ed activity groups according to age and request.
We are ACA accredited so we adhere to the highest standards for safety, operations, and program quality. This special program for older campers focuses on developing outdoor living skills and includes a two-night on-site camp out on Tuesday and Wednesday night.

In addition to regular residential camping activities, Adventure campers learn fire building, orienteering, outdoor cooking, tent set-up and have the opportunity to go down the zip-line at high ropes.During the campout, Adventure campers stay in a four-person, single-gender tent they learn to set-up themselves.
