Dapper Lighting is a team of team of young car enthusiasts with a passion for motor sports and the joy of driving. The love for turning wrenches and upgrading our own personal cars led us into our journey to create not just high performance headlamps, but aesthetically pleasing systems that held on to that 'classic' feel.

Using state of the art design equipment, Dapper Lighting takes modern projector technology and pairs it with durable components that guarantee outstanding performance without sacrificing the timeless look of your ride. Every set of headlamps we sell is handmade in the USA by our team to your specific (and many times custom) requests.
Services
There are many different types of headlights. We have chosen a few of the most popular and written a small introduction on each housing. It's important to remember there is no perfect headlight and that you should pick a headlight that best suits you. These lamps were dual filament bulbs that had a reflector and lens hermetically sealed together.
Halogen: Being able to reliably generate light with limited resources at a car's disposal was a big problem for automotive engineers. Tungsten filaments like the ones commonly found in household incandescent light bulbs, were found to be the solution at the time. From around the 1950's up until now these filaments have been encased in a glass bubble of halogen gas, in an attempt to improve performance and longevity.
Dapper Lighting's 2-Headlight systems all use solenoid controlled High/Low projectors. Unlike 4-headlamp systems that have a separate housings designed for both high beam AND low beam, 2-headlamp systems must provide "Bi-Xenon". Bi-xenon, simply defined, means each projector is capable of both low and high beam patterns.
In order for you to provide maximum power to your headlamps, it is recommended to have the shortest possible distance between the power source and the bulbs. Our headlight harness draws power directly from the battery, through a relay, to the headlamps. The harnesses are also fused to increase the protection in your electrical system.
If you want to learn about H4 conversions or Projectors check out our education page on Housings. Imitation projector headlamps are basically an H4 conversion with a plastic lens mounted over the bulb. This is made to look like a projector, but because the bulb is no longer has a bowl in front to guide the light toward the housing, the reflection off the housing itself is of VERY poor quality.

Ben & his crew at Dapper Lighting have offered nothing less than the best customer service I've ever experienced. My headlights went out at a car meet they just so happened to be at and they spent over an hour with what little tools we had available and ended up following them to their shop in Bel Marin Keys and by lunch time the following day they had not only rewired and installed new headlights & ballasts but eliminated the old shorted out wiring that kelp blowing bulbs.

Several months later the drivers side headlight went out so I gave them a call and turned out water had gotten
