After years of visiting wineries and tasting rooms throughout Sonoma and Napa, we at Green Hills Tours have worked hard to find destinations that have great wines, a great environment, and great people. When we ask people who join our wine tours and who have been out to the wine regions previously, often they do not recall where they have been and have vague yet pleasant memories.
Our Private Napa Wine Tour from San Francisco allows you and your group a wonderful experience in Sonoma and/or Napa Valley. There are several major differences between the two regions. Beginning with location, Sonoma borders the Pacific ocean along its western coast and in the southeastern edge of the wine region it borders the San Pablo bay. Sonoma and Napa are separated by a low lying mountain range and so Napa is due east.

I had family from Germany visit me and they have never seen San Francisco. I researched private tours and found Jensen & Green Hills. Jensen is the best! He customized our 4 hour tour to fit our interests and created a tour that was insightful, with amazing and beautiful views and many places you never knew existed. The experience was so relaxing and people’s reaction to the unique vehicle really added a special twist to the day. We were allowed to bring food/drink and Jensens personality was refreshing and FUN! After closely reviewing dozens of potential wine touring options we chose Green Hills. They are slightly higher priced than the average company, but do NOT short-change yourself, as our experience was worth 3X the price! Talk about a tailored and attentive service, Green Hills far exceeded our expectations. Jensen (the owner) couldn’t have been more helpful. Their “survey” takes about two minutes to complete - but it gives Jensen and his staff the opportunity to design the perfect wine experience in both Napa and Sonoma regions. Their extensive list of vineyard relationships was quite evident

I booked a semi-private Napa Valley wine tour with Green Hills Tours to celebrate my wife's 30th birthday and we had an incredible experience. Our guide Jensen (who owns Green Hills with his wife), picked us up from our home in Oakland for no additional fee and proceeded to take us on a customized tour of four different wineries in Napa Valley.

This tour was amazing! Jensen is extremely professional and curates a unique itinerary based off of what wines you like. He will take you around to different spots that other tours wouldn't take you to. If you're looking for something semi-private this is a luxury tour that won't disappoint. My friend and I had a great time on this tour and will definitely be back to book with Jensen again!

My husband Jim and I were in San Francisco for a realtor convention. We have been to California several times, including San Francisco. We wanted to experience something different . As we were walking around the city we saw Jensen doing a tour in his custom F250 ! One of the coolest rides we’d ever seen. The people looked like they were having a blast and so we decided let’s give him a try! It was a GREAT 2.5 hour tour of all parts of San Francisco in an open vehicle with blankets, headsets to hear his guided tour and waters. We chose to try the semi-private tour. We had 2 group (party of 4 + our party of 2). Fantastic way to tour Napa! Jensen was so gracious and was able to fulfill both groups’ requests. We were also very impressed with the smaller yet superb winery he suggested!!!
I must mention the ride was extremely comfortable and plush!!!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND GREEN HILLS TOURS!!

Booked a last minute tour with Jensen our driver. We traveled to the Sonoma wine district and found every place a delight and the wines were sensational. Stopped at an Italian restaurant before one last winery. Would recommend this tour as it was not a bus tour and not rushed to get to the winery in a cave or on a Spanish patio. If you can't book online just ring the phone # and Amber may find a spot for your party. Thanks Jensen for a great day.

Jensen and Amanda run an amazing tour company for San Fran and the surrounding areas (Muir woods, Napa etc.). The car is incredible, with great viewing from all seats. Jensen is a phenomenal and safe driver, with great knowledge of the all things SF, while also possessing an extremely polite manner, constantly ensuring everyone was comfortable, warm and catered for. Green Hills Wine Tours was perfect for our tour of Sonoma! We loved that our group of 8 was able to have a private van for a reasonable cost for a full day. Jensen provided water too, which was nice. He knew so much about the area and was able to share fun stories with us. We put together our own itinerary, but Amber and Jensen can help if you don't know where you want to go. If we go back, we will definitely be sticking with them!
