Pumpernick's is a family owned and operated deli/restaurant where people come together for great food and friendship. Pumpernick's is a great place to meet old friends and make new ones, while enjoying everything you expect in a traditional deli. Went here at the recommendation of several family members and we were not disappointed!
The food was excellent (try the split pea soup, it was amazing!) the dessert was fantastic. We were a group of 3 and split the chocolate cake, it was more than enough, in fact, it was almost too much. The menu is huge, so you are sure to find what you want. I got the soup & 1/2 sandwich combo which was more than enough for me for lunch.

We specialize in the finest delicatessen meats, cheeses, smoked fish, soups and salads, with a heavy focus on the traditional foods that we were raised on. Our homemade Hot Corned Beef, Roast Brisket and Pastrami are all steamed in our customized steamer and sliced hot to order. We feature six hearty soups and award winning giant matzoh balls, all homemade and prepared daily in our kitchen.
No, we do not take reservations. For parties of 7 or more, we take "call ahead seating" when it is possible. This means that we will do our best to reduce your wait time but can not make promises on a specific time. We take reservations for Holiday Dinners only (Rosh Hashana & Passover). Our famous Pickle Bar is served as a courtesy to our guests dining in our restaurant (carry-out orders must get weighed/priced at checkout).

We have been going to this Deli as long as I can remember. My family is friends with ownership after all these years and have watched them expand the restaurant over the years as well. The food is always delicious, waitstaff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the people behind the deli counter are wonderful as well. The pickle bar is always fun while you wait for your food to come out and if you live in the area there is always a good chance you will bump into someone you know. Great place for big groups and intimate meals alike. We bring family here from out of town all the time and they always

Staff is just the best here! Great servers, love everyone working the deli, and Stu makes you feel like you're at a friend's place. You'll never leave this place unsatisfied as the portions are very generous, and my kids are obsessed with the unlimited pickle bar! Try the Pastrami sandwich, hungry man's omelette, buffalo chicken wrap, and the chicken matzo ball soup 🤤

I have gotten so many NY clubs from Pumpernicks... it's embarrassing really. My partner and I love the food, we have never had any issues with the service and you get so much food for your money. Their deli is great, their pickle selection is wonderful and if you ever have a chance to sit down and eat there the wait staff is super friendly as well.

OMG 1st time visit. So much to choose from! Beef brisket was so tender and gravy savery. Chicken parm sandwich was huge and breaded cutlet hung over edges of bun.The fries were crisp and flavorful. Turkey breast with stuffing, mashed bliss potatoes n gravy. The breast was so juicy and tender. Stuffing had a touch of apple for sweetness to compliment savery gravy. By far the best Ruben sandwiches we have ever had. So delicious. We each had pastrami n corned beef and both were cooked perfect. Pickle bar was a wonderful surprise. We had ordered a side of fries and the amount that we were given was enough for two or three and they were so crispy and delicious. Cole slaw was so fresh and tasty. Restaurant was clean and service was superior.
We live in upstate NY and visited today 9/19/21 on a weekend getaway and cannot wait to return someday soon. Our only wish is that they do not have this restaurant by our home. Super A+ Experience.

Always outstanding, freshly made food, great pickle bar, decadent desserts. Truly a full service real deli with a huge menu. Well worth the trip. We have been coming here many years, never disappointed. Go home hungry from here and there is seriously something not right about you. Such a great place, always.

Thank you Yelp reviewers for leading us to Pumpernick's. We're not from the area but we have to come back here several more times this year. I know this will be our go-to breakfast place. We LOVED the white fish salad. After breakfast, we bought a pound to bring home because we can't get it where we live. We made it last a week. Now it's gone. Nothing compares.

Pumpernick's Deli has amazing sandwiches. Let me repeat that and maybe say it a bit louder for those sitting in the back row, Pumpernick's Deli has amazing sandwiches. These are not your normal sandwich, they are huge, filled with goodness and leaves you with a full stomach and a satiated soul.
Service is friendly and while the ambiance is nothing to write home about, you aren't there to be surrounded by a pleasing aesthetic, you are there for these amazing sandwiches. Ruebens are great, pastrami, yes, please and the club sandwiches are the stuff of legends.

This is the first time I've been able to find chopped liver around here so I was pretty excited to try. I just got it with onions but the onion to liver ratio was off and there really needed to be more onions (only time for me that more is better with onions tbh). It was just two slices of rye, some onion and a scoop or two of liver - no effort to even squish it to sandwich shape. The pickle was really good and a nice surprise since I was bummed the pickle bar was closed because of Covid. The matzo ball soup was decent, tastes like Campbell's chicken noodle but with a ball. Our family loves soup and sandwiches and diner style food. I gave this place 3 stars simply because it was good but not great.
First, the waitress offered up a variety plate of pickles and slaw to start. Definitely a unique but nice and light munchy as we waited for our food.
I ordered the soup and sandwich combo. I had the cabbage borscht with beef soup (bc split pea was out) and its was delicious!!! Along with a Reuben sandwich. I wish I could say I enjoyed my reuben as much as the soup but it failed to meet my expectations. I'm a bit of a Reuben snob! The first red flag should have been

This place was PACKED when I came on Memorial Day-but I was seated very quickly and received very quick and polite service. Everything was clean and neat for how busy it was, and the food was phenomenal.
I had coffee and ordered the Tex Mex Omelet-which was amazing. Plenty of cheese, heaps of avocado and bacon and served with salsa and sour cream-with incredibly delicious hash browns on the side. I got an everything bagel on the side (no extra charge-it's considered toast!) which was very good.
I even tried the chipped beef my girlfriend had and it was good - and I HATE chipped beef.
