Eric Berkey founded Berkey Home Builders in 2002, and for the past decade has been building quality homes for Central Iowa homebuyers. Eric worked his way up through the construction business, gaining experience both as a craftsman and a businessman. Eric understands the need to fully manage a project to meet a client's expectations.
He believes in a hands-on management style, open communication and is fully engaged in the construction process from beginning to end. She also works directly with realtors, lenders as well as appraisers throughout the process seeing it through to closing. Her goal is to have each project turn out exactly how it was intended to.

Berkey Home Builders currently has lots in the following Central Iowa developments for purchase. Once you've secured a lot, you may choose from any of our available floor plans or we will custom build a plan that's right for you. We are always purchasing new lots for construction. This was the first time going through the new construction process. Prior to this process I constantly heard 'if you build a new home you will never want to do it again.' I was extremely impressed with the communication when drawings and construction didn't line up. Several options were brought forward that would allow me to hit budget and still have superior quality.

Berkey Home Builders has been great to work with. First the design process was nice and easy and Brit assisted greatly in making great suggestions that were within our tastes. She was able to redesign aspects that we would not have thought of on our own and were exactly what we wanted. Next, the construction process was seamless and timely. The work was done with the up most professionalism and the work sites were the cleanest I’ve seen. Lastly, the customer service has been great. The team has been very helpful in any issues that may occur and hold up their end. Overall a great building experience

Eric and his team built my home 4 years ago in Fieldstone Estates in Altoona, Iowa. The process was very easy. They used only top notch products and finishes. You simply do not see the same finishes used by other builders, tall base, trim, cabinets, counters. Oh and Eric finishes his projects on time and on budget!
I have had zero issues with my home. If you are building a home you would be crazy not to at least consider Eric Burkey to do it for you. He’s a trustworthy builder who cares about the quality of the homes he is building and the community he lives in.
