I came here for a laser hair treatment and after just one session feeling glad I went through with it. Tatiana is a wonderful technician who offers just the right amount of communication, support, and friendliness for the service. They are crystal clear about what they can and cannot guarantee in terms of outcomes, and make it a point to ask how you're feeling and what you need to make it a comfortable experience.

If you're looking for an eyebrow and/or wax service, book here now! Pre-pandemic, I was going to the Madison location with the best wax and eyebrow specialist ever, SANGITA! And thank goodness she moved to Columbus Circle because it is right by my apartment. I've been going to her for years and she is absolutely amazing - friendly, professional, consistent and super sweet!! I highly recommend going here and of course booking Sangita!! She also does laser hair removal, which I plan on getting in the future. I refuse to go to anyone else!

I was a bit confused when I saw them pull our paper for my sugaring (I’m used to sugaring without the paper), but Sabina assured me that I would be okay. She was really quick as well with my Brazilian. The place was tidy and the whole process took less than 20 mins. Overall great experience, was just thrown off. Advice: do the paperwork before

I have been coming to Shobha for years now and highly recommend the salon. Over the years I have mostly seen Sima who's excellent - she's fast and does a very thorough job. This is more expensive than the typical waxing service at the nail salon but you're paying for the service and quality. Hope they open up a new branch in midtown east soon! Will make life easier for those who are back in the office :)

First off, pricing here is super fair. Laser in the DC area get's expensive, but the pricing at Shobha is great for a high-level of quality service. This is what first drew me here. I also really appreciate that you can pay by session, rather than paying for an entire 6 sessions upfront (although there are cost benefits to doing it this way).

I have been going to the DuPont Circle location for Brazilian wax for roughly 5 tears now. I use to have an AMAZING technician. I would drive an hour+ each time way for services because let's face it, when we find someone that can handle a Brazilian quick and EFFICIENT, we stay with them. I believe this location is under new management. With that, the professionalism has gone into the toilet. Previously, front desk staff where professional were knowledgeable. A couple of times I went recently and there were young ladies at the front desk who were unprofessional. I would expect 4 star spa-like professionalism

Based off a few glowing reviews from other Yelp Elite folks, I had very high expectations for this salon. My favorite waxing place close to me in Brooklyn unfortunately did not survive the pandemic, so I desperately needed to find a suitable replacement and decided to journey into Midtown to get some waxing done. My destination was Shobha. Still, I continued perusing Yelp and decided to try another place one ave closer to where I was. I'm sooooo happy they were fully booked else I would have missed out on all the sweet, feminine goodness that's this business Shobha!

I recently moved out of NYC, and it has been so. incredibly. difficult. to find a waxing salon anywhere near as fantastic as Shobha. I really miss Nawena, who always did a perfect Brazilian wax. Now that I live thousands of miles away, I am missing these elements of Shobha's customer service:
-no double dipping
-they actually use an electric trimmer
-they thread any extra leftover hairs
-they remove allll the surrounding hair anywhere nearby... so thorough
I'm just about ready to get on a plane and come back to NYC just to visit Shobha!

I love this place so much!!!! I made an appointment online via their app and it was pretty seamless. The entire place is super clean, everyone is spaced out 6ft or more, and its a cashless establishment.
Other than family and friends, my eyebrow lady is up there of those I miss dearly - she made my experience super comfortable, clean, safe and obviously did a wonderful job on my eyebrows.
Strongly encourage you to look at Shobha for your eyebrow needs, I am very impressed with how they have managed to follow COVID19 guidelines so well for a service so close to our bodies. Awesome job Shobha

I came here courtesy of a yelp deal and made an appointment toward the end of the day for eyebrows. I didn't realize there was a credit card minimum, but luckily they had an ATM on site.
The front desk receptionist was lovely, the interior was a warm orange, and was a surprisingly large space. I was seated on time and after about 5 minutes, my appointment was over. The aesthetician was great and I was pleased with the finished result. This place is a bit pricier than other threading locations I've been to, but it's the experience that made it worth it.

After years of getting brazilians with hard wax, I came here to try sugaring instead. Pomila, my esthetician, was super quick and made the process as painless as possible. They even put a cooling wipe infused with rose oil afterwards to calm the skin down and close the pores. They also give the option of applying hydrocortisone which I opted out for. They pay great attention to detail and even threaded any remaining stray hairs away at the end, although you can refuse the threading if you're uncomfortable.

I came here for an underarm wax to try their services out. They have a 4 step process: sugaring/waxing, soothing lotion, cold compress, threading the unruly hairs. I beleive they use rose oil in their lotion and it smells so nice and calming.

I first was introduced to Shobha through a Yelp event and since then I honestly can't go anywhere else. I now live in Brooklyn and work in the city but I always take the trek because it is absolutely worth it.
